I own my own house and live with a woman. So I take pride in how well kept my house is and would rather not get yelled at for leaving my dirty draws around.

I have too much stuff to fit it in. I leave things all over my desk and it spreads to cover every flat surface. My shoes, various bottles of wine and spirits and the two rucksacks I use a lot (one big, for shopping, and one smaller for going to and from work) take up a lot of the floor space, and since I only have 3 pairs of shoes and some slippers that tells you how small my room is.
When I had a couple of rooms to myself at college everything looked a lot neater because I had space to put things.

After a major cleaning, I can usually hold things together for about a week.

Unfortunately major cleanings come about once a symester.

I am one of the slobbiest, most disorganized, people I know. My roommate however is military-style clean and orderly, so it makes for an interesting combo. :)

my roommate in college was a disgusting slob. He literally never changed his sheets in 9 months. They turned from white to light yellowishbrown over the course of the year. He had rotting and molding garbage literally surrounding himself. He used the same ratty smelly disgusting towel all year. His garbage can overflowed with old food. I am SO glad to be out of there. I hope you aren't THAT bad.

Nope, not that bad. But I haven't washed my sheets yet this year. I've been meaning to...

I am for the most part clean, but very very disorganized.

I got old laundry in my room in a pile, random crap laying around, books everywhere, tons of CD's laying around...

I should clean it soon.

Over the years I have learnt to automatically memorise the places on the floor which are available to stand on so that when I switch the main light off, I can make it to my bed without falling over.

We were cleaning out this guys' basement once, and we found an old Big Mac that had turned rock solid. Almost as though it were petrified.

My room at home is pretty messy, as is my room at school; they're not all that bad, though. The common areas of my apartment at school, though, are absolutely disgusting.

So do you keep your place clean? By "place" I mean like your room if you are a kid living at home, or your apartment if that's what you got, or whatever.

Probably the only person on earth who is as messy as myself is my girl-friend.

We're telling ourselves since November that we really ought to wash the dishes. The situation worsened once the emergency paper dishes were all used up. We still haven't even started.

I used to do that, so I got rid of all but a bare minimum of dishes, so now I'm forced to do them regularly and there's never a huge pile.

As for me I'll go on a cleaning frenzy every couple of weeks or so, but in between I tend to let things pile up.

Jeez, I hope I don't become that bad. :p

I like being neat, but I'm not obsessive about it.

Today, I decided to end all this slobby BS in my dorm room! I have purchased a DIRT DEVIL!

Do you actually have that much dirt in your room?

I leave most of our apartment soso clean but after my experience in my dorm living in a junk heap last year I keep my room itself f'ing spotless.
