The English have attacked, unheeded, friends of the French, the Iroquois. This unwarranted attack is a blatant threat to the world. England has grown far past its briches, and must be put down. I offer aid to anyone who will go up in arms against the English, for the French will.

The French have once again gone on one of their "just crusades" trying to undermine the British sovereignty in North America. England sends out the call to all nations who wish to finally supress the French and end their reign as a colonial power once and for all! All who choose to do so will be greatly rewarded with the riches of the British Empire.

TO: Foreign Minister Hideyori, is the embassy project working as planned?

Hideyori (HI): Yes, Lord Shogun. We have made sure the foreigners are--

General Iseguri (IS): Wait, there are foreigners on our soil? I thought our policy was no foreigners would be allowed in or out of Japan!

TO: General Iseguri, please wait your turn. And in answer to your question, this is an exception, a special case. At any rate, we keep watch over them to make sure they don't violate any of the conditions of the agreement. Minister Hideyori, as you were saying...?

HI: Yes, the foreigners feel comfortable. We have made sure that their compound receives a steady stream of supplies.

TO: What about contact with the "ordinary people"?

HI: There is none of that. We have made sure that the ambassadors talk only to high-level government officials, such as ourselves.

TO: Do they have any news from the outside?

HI: They do. Relations have grown sour between two of the Western countries. They say--

TO: Is one of them that one that's running that pirate base of Taiwan?

HI: Umm... no, sire. Those would be the Dutch.

TO: Just wondering; carry on.

HI: Anyway, they say that the war was started over the rights of some native tribe.

TO: *laughs hysterically for nearly two minutes. Manages to compose himself* I'm sorry, something seemed funny in that. I mean, two countries going to war over some minor "barbarians"? Of course, they're barbarians themselves, so it's expected...

HI: Lord Shogun, I believe the war was started over some territory this tribe owned.

TO: Is this tribe near us?

HI: No.

TO: Continue...

HI: Anyway, the one nation wants the land owned by the tribe, and the other nation feels obligated to help--

TO: *more hysterics, then* Sorry again... I mean, why should they feel obligated? Aren't these just primitives, like the Ainus our fathers fought?

HI: From what I've heard, I believe so.

TO: Ah. Well, enough on that. Any other news?

HI: Some guy shanghaied the treasury of Poland and ran.

TO: Erm, why is this important?

HI: It's not. I just thought I'd share that with you.

TO: *slaps HI*

*brief silence*

TO: I believe we are done, are we not?

HI: I believe so, Lord Shogun.

YO: Yes, it seems that way to me too.

TO: Very well. Dismissed!

Undermine British sovereignty? You got it backwards, Joseph, your undermining Iroquois and French sovereignty. Another example of the corrupt English throne vieing for power.

A Short Summary of the 7-day War

The first charge came unexpectedly to the tiny nation, and in the concealment of the night the Savoyans where fighting a massive force. The invading Venetians quickly overwhelmed the Savoyan Border Guard battalion and headed in a bealine for the rich trading center of Genoa.

By morning, the Venetian Army could see the large city from just over a few hills. And it was poorly defended. With amazing swiftness and power, the Venetians swept through the city gates, as more Venetians surrounded the city from the outside. With the Savoyan Army caught inside, and food supply at low, the people of Genoa either swarmed the streets of popped out of thier windows yelling in French, roughly "Give up the fight! Give up the fight!" For the Savoyan government hadnt been kind to them and often exploited the people wherever they could, the people wouldnt now risk thier lives to be part of a futile last stand. The Savoyan Army was now surrounded by two forces, the Venetians and thier own people. They laid down thier arms and surrendered, thier will to fight on broken.

When day three of the war began, the Savoyans on the mainland had all but been beaten so the Venetians eagerly awaited news on how the soldiers in Corsica where doing. When they saw the Galleass', they knew it was over in Corsica as well, they had taken the island about as fast as the mainland force had taken Genoa! For the next 4 days, the Venetians marched northwards. There they found the interim capital and government, but it was hardly even defended. They simply walked in, surrounded the capital, and forced the Savoyan King (who had escaped in the Battle for Genoa) to sign a document of surrender and relinquish his powers as monarch.

The Venetian army had conquered Savoy in record time, 7 days with very limited casualties. This was a week for Venice that will no doubt be put in the history books.
