Astronomy Picture thread

That surgery was wild. I can't imagine volunteering for something like that.
Getting into space (as a person) is possible, but I believe that it requires a bit of a game-plan.

I'm still trying to figure out which star I want to claim later on. Then I'll post a pic.

Given the Color of the image I assume it's from the SOHO spacecraft and it's from the EIT instrument (Extreme ultraviolet Imaging Telescope).

so... ultraviolet, and I think the higher end of it.
