Bad City Placement

Funnily enough, the worst placement I have seen was actually by me. Right on the very tip of Somalia there. That's right, I founded Dardura. I have no idea why I did it, but the scary thing is, it paid off. (I had never actually faced impi warriors before... Dardura allowed me to rise from the ashes.)

I let my friend play RFC before and he thought that Dardura would actually be a powerful coastal city, little did he know he had just founded the one of the worst city in the game while Mut still defends it's crown at being the crappiest city in the game

Yup, that's what I thought too.

I once played a game as America where England built about 10-12 cities just on Australia. It was bizarre. Sadly it was a previous version so it won't load now.

Speaking of my beloved Ethiopians: would it be too hard to move the ethiopian spawn exactly 1N? (and maybe moving the coffee there 1S) The city is still aksum, only coastal. On 99% of the game there's egyptian culture there, so a culture box would be necessary

Well, I don't know about you but for me Mansa Musa just loves settling crappy spots... It is... annoying at best...

Arabs settle atrocious cities in North Africa. I've seen Kufah in the middle of the Sahara, Abu Simbel, and a city founded one tile away from the coast where Benghazi is. Also Sahut near Sanaa and Najaf in the desert near Iraq one tile away from the river.

Yeah, well; thanks to the Egypt re-spawn now they are cut short of it (if they die out that is before doing any actual settling). Who knows, maybe it's an elaborate mechanism that ensures that they die out by using all their energy on crap settling :D

I'll commit a new revision soon that will put an end to Arab desert cities and Aztecs in Northern Mexico.

Holy crap. How can Montana be so big, and still have a huge food surplus? How much food do you get from the corporations?

:mischief: There's a civic giving food, remember? (Just ignore the stability penalty, economy ought to make up for it if you don't overexpand)
+7 from fishing industry and +8 from cereal, by the way.

Size 56... size 56... size... 56... *faints*

But...

Spoiler :

Yes, that was before City States got nerfed (no egalitarianism merchants -> great merchants -> more merchants -> more Great merchants loop anymore).

population of 500000000

1260 gold per turn:faint:

:hatsoff: to you good sir

Yes, but before that...

Not max size 7; it can work up to 7 land tiles. You can have many more specialists and people working water tiles. But that New York isn't possible anymore, I don't think.

It isn't, because specialists you can only hire because of Egalitarianism don't get the food anymore.
