The Stones for me. I can't stand the Who. Townsend is one of the most overrated guitarists in the history of guitar in my humble opinion of course. Richards isn't very good either, but nobody really ever claims him to be.

His guitar work may not be fancy, but he plays with heart. He is definitely one of the all time greats.
