I think it's just a few hundred kilobytes for the average work unit, either way it's not going to take any huge chunk out of your 2 GB limit I'm pretty sure :)

Welcome!

Felicitations :)

Welcome!

It really doesn't download much compared to anything else. It takes about 10 seconds every few days, I think.

Hi Guys

Had to give folding a rest over the heatwave period. the laptop just couldn't handle it. Things have cooled down and I'm back at it again.

The last work unit was massive - hundreds of frame each taking over 2 hours to fold. Current one is 4000 frames each taking a few seconds. Anyone know what makes the differences? - I know a bit about protein chemistry so don't be shy on the technicalities.

For some reason the more frames the less time for each frame, at least with the units I get. I figure it's because complicated frames (large proteins possibly) are grouped into smaller work units (time frames) to keep them managable to finish within the deadline.

Does anyone know how to get the sig images working? I know we can't put them in our sigs here, but it'd be nice to have one somewhere on this thread.

sigimage.php

:( Nuts.

Well as promised I've joined and set my newly built computer to some good use other than self gratification. I really hope that these results are made public seeing that it really is an international effort.
