Beginning of the World As We Know It: A Test

Sullivan County Refuge: talonschild
Leader: Liam Burgoyne (Charismatic)
Leader Background: Liam Burgoyne leads the people of the caves, simply due to his charismatic authority. He's just the sort of guy who seems to know what he's doing. There are dozens of men like him across the US, leading dozens of little communities. What makes Burgoyne special is that he's a PC.
Faction Trait: Religious, Industrious, or Friendly
Capital: TBD (Tennessee Appalachian foothills; Cave Network)
Background: A bunch of people, when the trouble began, fled to the hills. Generally these were folk with the idea of living off the land while normalcy returned. Normalcy looks like it'll be a long time coming, so it's a good thing that they do in fact know a thing or two about living off the land. A bunch of them found the cave network. Les voila.

Noble was a typo, should not be there as I eliminated it with this ruleset. Also, just going to once more inform you all, most of you will die, with your communities in flames around you and all you care about starving to death. It's going to be fun!

Thanks for the work on the map guys, it does make my life easier. And once again I thank you all for participating.

As a technocratic faction, shouldn't I get +1 Tech parts per turn? Or is that something tied to origin as well?

EQ you amuse me. I'm drooling over the 85 tech parts, already planning how to solve the food and water shortage. Then...

Scrap Parts: 0

FUUUUUUUUU

:3. Well, time for these Asians to get their hands a bit greasy. And gory. And possibly isolated from their bodies.

@Grandkhan: You're right, you should. Let me fix that. Also, if you have AIM, we really should talk about a different NES. My SN there is the same here.

Once again, I will do an update 0 for this whenever I finish the next Capto Iugulum update. You can, if you choose, send in orders for this update, but you will not be penalized if you do not.

Just want to clarify.

In this iteration there are no automatic Energy for Tech and Scrap Parts for Ammo/Weapons- we need different and specific factories and facilities? Also, are there any specific resource conversion whatsoever, or does it all go through buildings this time around? Finally, is there a limit for resource conversion? Can I turn a billion scrap parts into weapons with 1 forge? Obviously, there is a hard limit for Hydroponics it seems. What about those Ammo and Weapon facilities which might be found in military bases?

Yes, you must have different facilities for conversions this time around, making it more difficult and ammunition much rarer. A hard limit based on number of facilities is a good idea, but I think we'll keep it as is, as I suspect that won't be really too much of an issue. As for anything in military bases, no comment, as that's for me to know and you to find out.

Thanks.

Will internal transportation be important to note in orders? This is less about population shifting and more "I made 800 low tech melee weapons and I need to distribute them." Will it occur automatically or should I say "20 men with 10 1-h weapons and 100 low tech melee weapons will escort transport from the capital to outpost 2".

EDIT: Realized that food is universal, so weapons will probably be so as well other than "Special" ones?

EDITEDIT: If so, would "Poaching" missions work, sending teams between outposts and taking out food/weapons/supply transports?

;) Logo for the Wolverines. Could somebody please add this to the map?

EDIT: Shrunk the pic considerably

Weapons are counted for each settlement, and can be distributed between them. There is a risk of interception by raiders, assuming there is a raider group active in your area. Food shipments are automated by my system, so you don't need to worry about that, though they too can be intercepted. This obviously means everything you may think it means for PvP warfare.

few questions:
are the Great lakes irradiated or not? It might be possible, but given their size and the amount of water that flows through them each year, it's unlikely.

I can answer that when you've actually tested them with an expedition. Same goes for any cities, towns, bases, and bodies of water.

TerrisH, could you add the Pellicle Research logo on the previous page as my "flag?"
