Best Beer?

budweiser is not a pilsner.

Budweiser is a type of beer for Budweis. Pilsner is a type of beer from Pilsen.

Just putting that out there.

I prefer Baltica

Agreed, A-B's Budweiser is not a Pilsner. It uses lager yeast and is lagered like a Pilsner, but the similarities end there.

Pilsner was invented in Pilsen, but the term "Czech Pilsner" has come to mean any beer brewed according to the beer recipe developed in Pilsen (pale malt, Saaz hops, lager yeast). Budweiser Budvar (Czechvar) is generally lumped into the Czech Pilsner catagory. And of course then there's German Pilsner...

England, Ireland: Newcastle , Kilkenny

Hell. Yes. I adore Newcastle.

US: - nothing POSITIVELY worth mentioning

Hell. No. Dogfish 60-Minute IPA, Blue Moon, Yuengling, Sam Adams, either the Boston Lager or the seasonals are good, plus any number of microbrewery products, are all worth your time and money.

My favorite, what I always pick up on an unspecified beer run, is Blue Moon. Belgian-style wheat ale. Light and yummiful.

I'll go along with this.

I'd say Guinness but that is stout rather than beer.

I'd also go along with this.

Any Budweiser beer is effing nasty.

So is Natty or Busch.

I would choose either Coors Light, Miller Lite, Miller High Life or Rolling Rock.

I wasn't a fan of these two, although plenty of people I know love 'em.

The microbrewery is a good option, though; I don't think very much of beer, but I'll happily have it with some people where they brew it.

Good to see you're still using the correct place names.

I think I inherited a taste for Yuengling from my grandfather.

No doubt.

Oh boy. Arguing about tastes unique to one person.

I usually go Natty for party beer, Yuengling for decent and drinkable but still fairly cheap beer, and Starr Hill if I feel like something local.

Well around here you can't go wrong with a Leinenkugel's anything and right now the Summer Shandy is really good. New Glarius Spotted Cow is one of my personal favorites.

I tried Leinenkugel's Sunset Wheat on the recommendation of one of my midwestern friends and thought it was very good.

I was getting ready to post Leinenkugel's wheat beer, it was quite good.
