I'm listening to Gettysburg, its so good. Might be best ever! Agree?

Got another?

I liked Patton, but I'd probably have to go with Ennio Morricone and the Good, Bad , & the Ugly
yeh the Good Bad and & the Ugly is right up there but haven't listen to it in years
I just put on the Kill Bill Vol 1 sound track
that's closer to the top of my CD stack

Since some of us have been discussing Dune lately, I have to say that I love the music for both the Lynch movie and the miniseries.

But one of my all-time favorites has to be Fiddler on the Roof.

Few soundtracks will ever unintentionally exemplify the ridiculousness and homoeroticism of a movie the way the Top Gun soundtrack does.

Star Trek: The Motion Picture deserves an honourable mention.

Superman should probably win though.

Are we doing scores and soundtracks together? Before the web was around, movie soundtracks were a great way to get curated collections of music. Repo Man and The Breakfast Club were on a lot of people's shelves in my circles of friends. My personal favorite was Dogs in Space from 1986, about Melbourne's punk scene in the late '70s. We were of course awash in British punk (I saw G.B.H. at a local club), with a good dose of Canadians, but this was probably my only exposure to the Aussies.

My vote would have to be divided between Star Wars and The Terminator (1 & 2) ;)

There are so many good OSTs so here just a few:
Conan for epicness
Moon was memorable
also Hunt for Red October
most Tarantino movies
Once Upon a Time in the West by Ennio Morricone
The Fountain

Tron Legacy and Blade Runner have already been mentioned

Oh yeah I do agree with Tarantino movies ;) I love the tracks from Kill Bill - especially the whistle song from hospital scene (I couldn't take it out of my mind for a long time :D)
