Which movies have the best music?

I like

Bronze Medal: Jurassic Park 1
Silver Medal: Star Wars
Gold Medal...

*drumroll*

SIGNS! :cooool:

All Movies listed below have great soundtracks

Romeo and Juliet (the one from the 90's)
Moulin Rouge
Go
The Wedding Singer

The Big Lebowski of course.

But really, it wins in every category.

John Carpenter's "The Thing", which was just brought up, is second. Creep-city.

Both Lord of the Rings movies have great music, though I think I prefer the Two Towers score. The Indiana Jones movies also have great music, as does the Rock, Gettysburg, Spartacus, Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Titanic, Last of the Mohicans, Braveheart, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, the Right Stuff, and JFK. My freshman roommate was an afficionado and used to listen to soundtracks all the time. According to him the very best is Exodus, though he admits it is a terrible movie.

The Exodus score is very good.

Raiders of the Lost Ark is among the very best as well.

Scorcese's "Casino" and "Goodfellas" because of all the Stones' music.

-Star Wars movies (hands down)
-Indy movies
-Rocky movies

The best has to be Pulp Fiction...

How could I forget Raiders of the Lost Ark and FOTR?!?!

Chariots of Fire, The Mission, 1492: Conquest of Paradise, Excalibur and The Thirteenth Warrior. Vangelis and Morricone pick themselves at the top.

Honourable mentions to Lawrence of Arabia, Empire of the Sun, Death in Venice, The Fellowship of the Ring

MATRIX

The Final Countdown Theme (1980 movie for you ignorants :D).
