@ 3Miro

I found some bugs in the latest revision.
- Some barbarian Lions spawned after a few turns of playing (Byzantium)
- The borders of the cities are strange. (look at the screenshot) Don't look at Constantinople, I edited it a bit for testing purposes.

The way culture works is strange. I will have to do some more major code revisions to get this working. This should go away in a turn or two.

That's true. But it just looks strange.

I didn't have any time in the past week, but you guys improved a lot on the mod since :goodjob:
I also noticed the strange culture bug, it's probably because of the new culture/province type code

One question about the changes: 3Miro, why did you changed back Greece?
I did those changes for Beta 8 based on yogiebere's suggestions: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=10212993&postcount=180
So actually the map was up to date, just the provinces weren't adjusted yet...

EDIT: Also, you added some extra lines to the beginning of the WB file, thus some of the initial civ contacts and wars are off

You usually do it the other way around, first change the Provinces and then the map. Revert the changes to the WB file (last commit only, leave the changes that I made to the Atlantic Access).

It looks like I have messed up the last one. Sorry about that.

I will have to go out now, if you can, just revert the WB file or I will revert it when I come back.

I have just noticed that the province system still uses the old situation of Greece.

That was the confusion. I thought the Province system was up-to-date while the map needed to be fixed, while it was the other way around. I will fix the problem.

It should be fixed now. (Culture is still broken, that is the next thing that I will do)

Thanks for the safegame. It is good to see that the Dutch are actually doable.

The 10 Open Borders was actually quite difficult, despite the huge number of countries that converted to Protestantism (in fact, if there'd been less conversions I might have been out of luck). A large number of countries collapsed, so there were no Ottomans, Arabs or Byzantines; no Muscovites, no Swedes, no Lithuanians, no Norse... the list goes on...

Getting 5 Great Merchants settled in Amsterdam is not that tough, as long as you avoid building Guildhalls or running non-Merchant Specialists too much. I used Groningen as my GP farm and pumped out 5 Merchants with time to spare. In fact, it might have been worth rushing economics for it too.

The OB is not that good of an UHV. I was thinking about making a condition "become the richest nation before 1800AD", but with such a late start, I am not sure this is doable. Can you go into the WB and check how much gold the other players have (or I can do it later). That way you will be "encouraged" to build the Amsterdam "Stock Exchange". Alternatively, we can require a fixed huge amount of gold (2000 or 3000)

Sry about that.
I should have updated the provinces earlier...

Cool, thx!
Does either you or merijn working on the map right now?
I want to make Anatolia less fertile for the next version

Any update on beta 9 release?

We have a lot done already, I wanted to do some more tests (things are a bit unstable right now). Beta 9 would come no later than Saturday (hopefully earlier). Ideally I want to change the German UHV conditions and fix Orthodox Turkey.

In a Norse game I had an odd dutch spawn making them found their first city in Sweden. See att. They didnt flip any cities in the netherlands. I went back to the first autosave to see if it happend agian, but it didnt.

Yes, this is a nasty semi-random bug. It involves a convoluted situation regarding the spawn of Dutch Units and German/Burgundian culture. Basically, the units get pushed away from the spawn zone. I think I have it fixed for the next version.

Okay. I have savegame were it happens. Do you want that?
Not necessary, as 3Miro said this is already fixed in the svn version

@ Absinthered

I see you have added some pedia texts for some wonders. Are those different from the vanilla text, or did you thought they weren't included? If it is the last, you can deleted them to save some space.

You also moved some texts. Did you do this so the texts of the religious buildings are after eachother?
