Motherboard failures suck. A lot.

But, I have a new motherboard (and thanks to Micro$oft, Windows 7.)

So... uh.... whats new? Thought I'd get a post here while I'm digging up drivers, and CDs, and redownloading every game I own into a new harddrive.........

I imagined you'd overtake me, since most of Fall Flat that the populace enjoyed was rolled into Fall Further anyways.

I haven't even gotten Civ downloaded off Steam yet. But I'm aching to get back in. I also have EIGHT!!!!! gigs of memory due to my shiny new 64-bit OS, so I might be able to finish a FF game!

i've been doing arty stuff for FF, and various modmods. yesterday I completed my crowning achievement thus far . I also found time to do a little xml, and made something neat.

No new FF updates since patch N. Vehem has been on holiday for a week, and should be getting back about now. xienwolf has just finished studies or schoolwork or somesuch, and seems to be back to coding. FFH released v0.41, and I used the new death angel animation set for the seraph above. I also have to go compile the artdefines for FF to import all the new stuff.

Valkrionn is doing so much stuff I've kind of lost track of it.

Honestly, I'd have lost track of it too if not for a convenient notepad file. As it is, I HAVE lost track of the changed files, so making the installer will be a pain.

Mwahaha, beat you there too. http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=8090824&postcount=184 Coming out finished in the new version I'm working on now. You could actually start fixing now though, as I attached 040 and patch z to the FF changelog thread.

I'd really like to see your version. Might be along the same lines, or it might be completely different.... Either way it'll probably be better, didn't spend alot of time on it yet.

Hey, if you want to do all the work I'll sit back and smile warmly at the fact that I made the Amurites scary. Maybe you know, actually play a few full games instead of watch the AI play.
(**Hopefully** my coding time will be sparse anyways, as I'm trying to grab a job at my hometown police department.)

Speaking of the AI, is the failure to cut trees or improve the land fixed yet? That was a real fun-killer, which killed my desire to mod for a bit - and then you know, motherboard failure. Maybe it killed my motherboard too... hmmmm *begins to plot revenge on the AI*

I apologize for asking this most delicate question, but... what occurs when there's a motherboard failure? Does the computer just die and not start up or what?

That depends on the sort of faliture.
There are situations when it will start up to a certain level, but than crash mid way through the initialization. Or it might simply not respond to you kicking and punching the startup button at all.

Computer failures suck. I was out for about a month and a half recently because of a hard drive failure.

People have already mentioned the big things, but I can fill in a few details.

• The new release of FFH had some art problems that required a new install file to be posted, causing a lot of confusion among some people as to whether they were up to date.
• How long were you gone? Shatner wrote a new Khazad story at the very end of April:
• There's a move just starting up to add some new city names.
• I'm slowly making my way into modding.
• One of those many things Valkrionn is working on is a religion for the Mechanos, which has revitalized theorizing for the White Hand and other not-really-agnostic-civ religions.
• The balance thread just had an interesting series of posts about lair results.
• The Mercurians are currently bugged to not receive any angels.

I think one big nasty bug that is still in this version is Multiple Blights in the same game.

I've had 2 in most games, and a third in one game when I summoned Basium.

Really a pita, so I've shut off the AC until it is fixed.

I had four once. The first two came within five turns of each other due to the AC fluctuating on its way up, and then the third about 20 turns after that when Basium showed up. I thought I was good for a while, and was finally starting to recover, and then Basium spawned Minister Koun .

Wonder if I can fix that - Can I install Fall Further over Fall From Heaven 041, or do I need to go dig up a copy of 040?

Think you need a copy of 040, I heard there were issues with 041. I put some links up in the FF Download thread, here.
