Beyond Earth Ideas & Suggestions Not-Worth-Their-Own-Thread

Like, much feared drunken bear riders of Slavic Federation?

My idea is for a new faction. The United Society of Space Rangers (USSR). There name is a misnomer. It is really the Ugly Scumbag Space Raiders (pirates). A station that is under attack for 3 or more turns, or is about to be abandoned due to not having trade, will appeal to the USSR. The USSR will send a resource pod with a Marine that will attack the enemy of the station or just start raiding. If the station is already taken, the pirates will just attack anything in the vicinity. A surviving station will become a colony of the USSR like any barbarian village in Civ IV or V. The USSR will drop a pod in its area at regular intervals. As it gets later in the game, the pods will contain stronger units from Civ V or from Civ IV BTS Future war.

Since the native fauna stop being a problem after affinity units show up, the USSR will provide the raging barbarians!

What is OP. If (in multiplayer) you build an "unstoppable" 2 turns after your opponent finishes his/her VC, you have lost. So much for OP. Now if your opponent has finished his VW, but has not finished the counter/settling/conquest, it becomes a race. Late game units need to be OP, and Zeno Titan and the Golem tend to be at T2. Does anyone use LEV Destroyers? Should it be enhanced?

Gaia came out with several nice to have units that have affinity requirements so strong that you finish a VC long before you can build them. Could someone lower their affinity to 13 in one affinity. Since she has three, you could have 1 for each affinity.

Also the Battlestar Glactica is a nice starting point for an upgrade of the orbital level. I could see a different type unit for each affinity. One would carry aircraft that could attack orbital units. Another would have a long range laser that would have a strength of 10-15, but plus 3-400% (i.e. 30-60) against orbital units. The only orbital units with any defense would be the high affinity units. The third would have a phasel transporter like the awesome rocktopus. These units would be able to move while in orbit as long as they did not occupy the area of any orbital unit.

Civ IV had a diplomacy screen that told you not only what the other civs thought of you, but of each other. Keeping up with who is at war with whom is a pain.
