Biggest FAIL ever

I've got a new computer with Windows 7, and it handles Civ IV fine. What's the problem?

Convincing Zara Yaqob to DoW on Huayna and nuke him, when I was trying to stop said HC from winning a culture victory, so that my Spaceship had time to take off (even though ZY was Friendly, I wasn't taking any risks. Considering I had Wang as vassal, ZY may have been able to DoW on ME.) Unfortunately this turned into an epic fail, as global warming soon hit. Guess, just who did it hit? Me, me, me, me, and me. (I still won though.)

I think GW hits everybody, but it only notifies you in your area. Still is an unfortunate outcome for your bribe

Losing my continent invasion force of 120 modern armour and several missile cruisers because i didnt bring any mobile SAMS to kill choppers and i dont understand naval warfare very well apparently

The real fail is it hit my best prod city's farms three or four times. I've since learned about food counting/dotmaps and after some thinking this city (Braganza) probably wasn't in the best possible location.

Earth 18, I conquer Paris early on as Rome, and work on conquering east. Wait, what happened to Paris? It got flipped by Berlin and I never noticed

A cultural victory attempt with Sitting Bull on a standard fractal map. The capital city succesfully reached legendary culture, but the neighboring cities of Wounded Knee and Poverty Point didn't reach legendary. The capital city was way overflowed with culture. I forgot the result but there wasn't any cultural victory for me.

My most recent would be this: I'm curb-stomping Mansa Musa as Pacal II. I just took Timbuktu and I have two cities each 1 turn away from finishing a wonder. Basically as soon as I hit enter I'm gonna win the game. (Hits Enter): both wonders taken by another civ, Mansa Musa convinces THREE other civs to DoW me, and my army is torn to shreds by about 3 stacks o' doom. I go from strongest to weakest civ in the space of about 1 turn.

Ancient war with a neighbouring civ. She sent archers to a warrior-defended city. Right when I was about to whip an axe, random event killed my copper. Reloaded.

Playing a standard-sized world map, I own Eurasia, Africa, and possibly South America. My rivals are the very powerful Russians in North America and the backward Greek folk in Australia. I only need a few cities to get Domination, so I decide to invade Australia.

Since Australia is a small, roundish island, Alexander was able to send all of his offensive troops to attack me on his first turn. My landing party was slaughtered. Out of a stack of 48, five troops survived. I went after Russia instead.

(This was in Civ3, but could have happened in CIV just as easily...)

I paid Shaka 4,000 gold to declare war on Monty with me. Rather than fighting Monty, Shaka made peace 10 turns later after agreeing to be a vassal.

Jesus. The game I'm playing right now is pretty bad. Playing as Napoleon on Archipelago, sharing an island with Saladin. Think he's pretty weak, declare war, one battle goes bad and suddenly I'm locked in a stalemate that's lasted a good 2000 years.
