We're broke
10 more quiet turns. Actually, it was 11 turns. I inherited the game on the 49th turn, so I took the liberty of even it up.
Turn 0 1790BC: nada. Checking diplomacy - Alphabet is out there.
Turn 1 1750BC: Washington completes Granary, starts worker, I'll need to mine the hill in order to make the settler factory at size 4-6, the roading worker is also sent back to help with the mine.
MM Washington for gold, since we'll have plenty of shield for worker in 2.
warrior finds goody hut in the unexplored southern region.
Turn 2 1725BC: pops hut... and we get Mysticism. [dance]
I immediately swap Myst + 1gpt + 105 gold to China for Iron Working.
Starts Alphabet at MAX, still 20+ turns, but since we'll buy it next, might as well research. Gold may be extorted, but knowledge locked up in our scientists' heads are always safe.

What's more, there is Iron right at Washington.
... which also solves the shield problem, so Washington is swapped to a settler. MM for shield.
Germany founds Konigsberg.
IBT: China start Colossus
Turn 3 1700BC: since I already crossed the river, I might as well use the worker to road towards the northern red dot first.
Washington grows to size 6, MM.
Turn 4 1675BC: MM Washington every turn...
Turn 5 1650BC: Washington completes settler, drops to size 4, I'll build a worker first. MM washington for max gold. It produces only 2 shields this turn, but it will pick up 2 more on growth, and it should have no problem generating 6 shields at size 5.
Turn 6 1625BC: MM Washington to 6 shield.
IBT: Korea finishes the Colossus.
Turn 7 1600BC: Found Philadelphia, starts a worker, who can irrigate some plains and chop some woods, making everything else bulid faster.
Washington finishes worker, starts settler, MM for max shield.
Washington has as much improvement as it's going to need during the expansion phase, so all the work force is sent towards the Boston area.
IBT: Russia starts the Pyramid and Oracle. One of them is a small cascade, I'm not sure which?
Turn 8 1575BC: other than moving scouts and MM Washington, nada.
Turn 9 1550BC: Washington to size 5, more MM to finish settler in 2 at max gold.
Turn 10 1525BC: I'm going to play one more turn to even up the turns, so I pull the trigger on the 2-fer trade:
7gpt to China for Alphabet + 4 gold
Alphabet + 1gpt + 4 gold to Germany for the Wheel.
Start a min run at Poly.
There is horse at Washington!
and we're as close to broke as it gets

(1 gold in the bank and 0 coming in).
Turn 11 1500BC: Washington finishes settler, starts curragh. The shield does not work out though, so you may want to change it back to a warrior, then bulid the curragh after the warrior. What I mean is:
Washington will get 7 shields this turn, but it can not make 8 more shields next turn without losing 1 turn of growth. So building the curragh results in huge waste of shield. However, at size 4, Washington can make 7 shields in 2 turns, then pick up the extra shield on growth to size 5, thus building a curragh in 2 without waste. To to this, change Washington to warrior now. Then, next turn, set Washington to +4 food. On the 3rd turn, after Washington builds the warrior, MM the city to +3 food and +7 shields.
The two workers have finished roading to Boston. Here's my plan for Boston:
- The worker on forrest game should chop the forrest, then irrigate it.
- The worker on BG should start mining.
- Boston should finish the temple in 3 turns, then start a MP warrior, which will finish in one turn with help of the forrest chop.
- Afterwards, Boston will be growing every 5 turns, so it does not need a granary.
- Boston can start pre-building for the Great Library.
- The two workers should stay in the area helping Boston. We may need even more workers.
More random thoughts for the next leader
If you do not change Washington to warrior, please consider sending the vet warrior back to Washington for MP duties.
Poly was started just 1 turn ago, so you're free to change it if you wish. It was intended as a "get a free tech in 50 turn" deal. I don't see much of a chance to broker 50-turn researched techs here, so I picked the one that's a dead end tech.
Be careful about running negative gpt, think how interesting it could get if anyone decides to extorted us.
Oh yeah, don't connect that Iron right now, we need the ability to build cheap MP warriors.
