Commander’s Challenge:
Spoiler :
The massive influx of new residents has given some of our people cause for concern. They have argued that as we are nearing the limit of the farming we can manage around Titusville, the slaves should be quickly resettled to Mims or a new community constructed altogether. Others have argued that the resources to establish a new community are simply not there, and that instead restrictions should be put back upon immigration as a whole. Still others claim that all should continue to be welcomed, and that emphasis should be on trade with the other communities in the region. How do we respond to this great debate?

Solution:
Spoiler :
The food issue, while pressing, is not an immediate concern. Nasa will, this half year, focus all of it’s efforts on gathering the scrap needed to build a new settlement, back across the water.

Orders:
Spoiler :
Convert 150 Scrap into Ammunition.
Titusville is to be systematically dismantled by most of our workforce for scrap. When we reach the requisite number of scrap, build one more farming equipment. The rest will be banked in anticipation of a new settlement.

Send out a 20 man team in power armor with 10 lasers and 10 plasma and 20 high tech melee to make a survey of the Old Nasa bunker, evaluate it’s state of existence, it’s capacities for farming, and what kinds of long term farming the area around it might have. They are then to travel south down Merrit Island to Patrick AFB, and do a similar survey. If they encounter any settlements, they are to invite them to the Market and to the Alliance. They are to avoid any armed raider bases, as we do not want to lose them.

As Always, support any of the allied settlements that may come under attack.

Organize, at the market, and Impromptu football league, inviting teams from all the allied cities to play. The Nasa Team will be called the “Astronauts.”

Hey,

To: Lakeshire
From: Atomic Foxes

Is Lakeshire willing to increase food & water supplies if the Atomic Foxes
expand, until we can establish farms of our own. We have found lands to
the southeast & a waterhole to your north that could be pumped.

We would offer you an increased percentage of Scrap. I can offer
some Tech parts as well.

Faction Name: Children of the Rapture
Leader Name: Reverend Fred Phil
Leader Trait: Enigmatic
Starting Location: Florida Caverns State Park (named "God's Refuge")
Leader Background: After the original adult workers died off and the radiation faded slightly, the Reverend Fred Phil came up to lead the group back out into the light. Once just a member of the congregation, he has risen up to lead his flock in a quest to bring salvation to the earth. Believed to be divinely inspired, he is thought to posses the ability to bring about miracles.
Origins: Survivors
Traits: Religious
Capital Type: Cave System
Background: Shortly before the bombs fell, a large baptist summer camp for youth was being hosted at the Florida Caverns State Park. The handful of adult volunteers and the baptist youth took refuge deep within the cavern system, dragging what meager supplies they had with them. Living off of the cave fungus and the fresh water from the caverns, the group came to believe that they were gods chosen ones, spared from the lords fiery wrath to populate the earth once again with believers.

Not to double post or anything, but I wanted to make sure everyone interested in this would see it:

Map up: https://mapsengine.google.com/map/edit?mid=zzh_NqA5fiE8.k76t-6dd8gYQ

I can not do custom flags this time sadly because Google Maps now has a premium version and I don't really fancy spending 5$ a month on it.

Also, thank you so much for making all the stockpiles separate and including both a local and total population this time EQ. It makes updating so much easier now.

Technojock, I also used in my maps lines to connect points of interest (Brotherhood church missions, the Sunshine Alliance, etc.)

Edit: Also, Nasacity is at the Astronaut hall of fame and the American Police hall of fame.

-A group of 30 men armed with 15 1-H guns and 15 2-H guns will go to East Palatka, on a reconnaissance mission, but if there is a chance they will also take any item that they find interesting.

Oh, well I didn't actually see your map. :P

If you wanna maintain it, go ahead. :D

Well ideally, pick one or the other, I'll leave it to a consensus. Doesn't do anyone any good to have multiple maps floating around.

...Good things I have a Weapon of Mass Destruction/Creation :mwaha::nuke:

PLEASE do this :D

Also, map is updated, and I took a leaf out of technojock's book and added a Points of Interest Section.

As always, anyone feel free to jump into the editing chair after updates. Everyone should have access. :)

Im pretty sure EQ wants me to do it as well, hence the huge accumulation of raiders :p.

Nope just a fortunate luck of the draw for you. After all, if you use it to purge Tampa, you'll also lose any potential loot within.

Will likely begin work on the update on Wednesday or Thursday. These next two weeks are going to be very busy for me, and we may not get an update next week, so I'd really like to get one in this week. Get those orders in, and I may begin work early.

In that case, lets just use yours. I'm gonna Switch the capitals to stars and the outposts to something other than those markers.

Also, glad to see you went more in depth than I did. Thats what I wanted to be to do on mine, but hand't yet found time.

Also, varied line widths slightly, Thinner ones for missions/embasies, Medium for alliances, and thick for Linking owned territory.

Looking at the map, Calusa Indians should be far further to the southeast, almost directly northeast of Sebring in the woods.

One other thing, town of Safe Crossings was at Oldsmar, further up the bay from where it's currently located.

I think surviving is far more valuable than any loot within the smoldering ruins of Tampa.

Also, I think that since it seems we have settled on using Thomas' map that EQ should include it either in each update as a link or on the front page, for ease of access.

Who knows what kind of awesome heli-carrier is crashed in the middle of tampa, though. :p (Or Giant Communist Fighting Robot.)
