Now here's a real dark horse for us.
Venice, Ukraine(Kievan Rus'), Romania(beause of cheesy Dracula), Sicily(Norman Kingdom and later), Vandals, Scythians and here I can't come up with anything.

Bucharest is a CS. Impaler is out.

The the list is Ukraine, Venice, Vandals, Sicily, Scynthians and Tuscany?

I'd bet for Venice and some Native American (hopefully not sioux, but very likely)

There seems to've been an interesting Colonial Power - Colonized Power relationship established. England - Zulu, Dutch - Indonesia, Portugal - Brazil, France - Morocco, on top of Spain - The Inca, which we already had, and American - The Iroquois too I guess. Maybe there's something in this for futher clues?

If they hadn't already been confirmed out, Belgium - C/Kongo would be the obvious choice, so maybe this is the end of the pattern? As Venice still seems possible, while Poland and Assyria are anomalies, (unless you controversially count Germany/Russia-Poland? )

I second the question on Bucharest - Where was it seen. I watched the new video again and saw various city states (Milan, Buenos Aires, Lhasa, etc.) but no Bucharest anywhere in it. False alarm?

I'm starting to think more and more that we get a USSR civ. Especially with the new focus on ideologies (and yes, by my avatar I am biased). Sure you'd have to get creative with the Russian city list, but they've done that in past versions (HRE). Then again, Riga as a CS kinda shoots into that theory.

But that would be a sleeper that no-one is talking about, and it would cover many of the vague hints they gave about a European civ.

Im very happy that they did not include Australia, Canada or Inuits. Makes me really happy they did choose civs that really are/were historically important AND culturally unique. Two English speaking civilizations is more than enough.

If the last European Civ is Scythia, that would be great.

There's not going to be a USSR. It has no capital or city list and is already in the game as Russia as Great Britain is already in the game as England.
