like i said in the other thread, the british monarchy is far more part of it's culture and history then any other country that has ever had one, and the queen reminds everybody of that great history every time she shows her face. no, it should stay the way it is.

I'm not a citizin of the UK, but I am a great fab of monarchies.

The royal family are, like sween said, living relics of Englands history.
They are more a tourist attraction than anything of practical political value.
Some English people like the nostalga that comes with keeping them around, others think they are a waste of money.

If i was English I would'nt want them around. They're more of an embarrassment than anything else.

But i'm not, so i don't really care.

Although, it disgusts me just a little how much royalties drain of tax payer money across the globe; one helluva deficit business going on there.
