[BtS] Destiny Mod

I was reading this thread and it looks like an awesome mod!

I will play it diffinitely.

You did mention you were going to add more Next war stuff, and in the opening post you also said you liked Chuyu's "extra" mod.

In his newest version, he has:

Split the Native american civ into the Sioux, Iroquois, and Cherokee civilizations, a concept from the Colonization game/mod.

He also has some techs and units from Final Frontier(fight Squadron and bomber Squadron work the best I think however).

I'd be just happy with the first. (Three Meso civs, and three northern Natives would be nice).

For the Native Americans I have implemented an extra unique building (casino) and an extra Unique Unit for them as well as a couple of additional leaders based on the Colonization game so that they now have 3 leaders. So I have given them some love :D

I do also have a couple of techs from Final Frontier (as well as mining facility and nutrition facility buidlings). Overall, I don't find the Final Frontier stuff so compatible with the base game as it is geared towards planetary expansion type game. Most of the gametext says stuff like its geared towards colonizing new planets after you've already become a spacefaring empire.

After playing for awile I do have to report a bug I found, when the computer contacts me, offering something, there is no way to finish the deal, as in, if you click on any option, it won't do anything. The only way I've been able to get out of this, is to exit the game entirely...

This was a bug that was reported in the WolfRevolution base. Check post #198 and subsequent posts for what the guys over there did to troubleshoot it.

I've never seen this bug myself, but there were a few using WolfRevolution who reported it.

I couldn't reproduce it. So I don't really know. Someone in that thread said that what worked for them was to save the game while the demand was being made and then reload that save. Not sure if it works, and I have no idea what could be causing it (since I can't reproduce it). I think it might be caused by a conflict with custom assets, but I think one the people that reported it said they didn't have anything in custom assets, so I don't know. I'm hoping the next version of RevDCM solves it though, I think it will, aparently this has been reported to some users in a couple of BUG mod merges.

a game gone very well.
Now with Caligula and the world generator0,68 map (ehm....that wasn't the right name...) I have no UI and it said there is not revolution.ini

planet generator!

revolution.ini is in his place of course. What the helll?!?!?! Two days ago everything was perfect!!!

I love this mod, just not the volcanoes in it..

They drive me nuts, is there anyway to turn off those "raging volcanoes" ?

On large maps the scoreboard can get a little messy looking, I am considering adding a scrolling scoreboard.

I forget exactly where it is, but there is an easy fix for this, to only show the top 20-30 civs so the scoreboard doesn't look messy. Its just a simple python fix. Dale wrote it I believe. If you search post from "dale" and "scoreboard" together, you will likely find it.

keep up the good work.

@Athrael: Download the newest version of the mod 0.99a, the raging volcanoes were there for testing...

Sorry about that! :mischief:

@Shiggs713: I've searched the forums and found a scrollable scoreboard by Johnny Smith that supposedly doesn't work quite as intended and a scrollable scoreboard that is integrated deeply into Community Civ 5 by ThomasSG. Neither sounds perfect to use at the moment, I've peeked at CCV code and it seems pretty tough to do, I'd also like to pull from it how they use the Manhattan Project as a national wonder.

I too have trouble with the AI in diplomacy, when they are asking for something and when they ask you to declare war against another civ. Its driving me nuts, how can this be solved? I found that when they are actually wanting to trade, it comes up but there are no options to select saying yes or no to there proposal, and you can escape from that situation by pressing the esc key, but that doesnt work for the other instances.
.
PS I attached the save.

I'll check out the save. I've heard of this bug on the WolfRevolution forums (on which the current version of this mod is built). It seems that this bug does not affect everyone, but the people that it does affect, it is painful.

I'll be looking into this, expect to hear more soon.

I think this icon was the problem. Try unzipping then replacing the file in:
C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Mods\Destiny\Assets\Art\Religions\Ra_Files\Buildings

Hey did you figure out what was up with the diplomacy? I really like this mod and would like to play it without the interruptions.
