[BtS] "Extra"

Chiyu -- One problem. Espionage is too successful. I'm having lots of buildings being blown up. I've got the espionage cranked up as high as I can get it and all the right buildings built, but it's still happening. I'm getting hit by my vassals as well as by my enemies. I've had to go to war in order to stop the damage.

I agree. It's getting patently silly. It's off the bloody charts. Every so often, bam, something gets destroyed. And that's with heavily promoted spies. And on the easiest difficulty.

Needs fixing badly.

This has definitely become my new favorite mod. Especially after the last update. Personally I think it would be nice to have the terrain from FFH2 in here but it good as it is.

Did a quick check with my maps/scenarios and they seem to work OK with the latest patch; I'll add the link to the respective download pages.:goodjob:

EDIT: Links added. ;)

Just a suggestion: It might be a good idea to limit the civics that the civic-unlocking wonders unlock.
It's really unbalancing when, in the very early game, someone gains access to a powerful future civic.

Also, some of the military techs seem to be confusing the AI leaders.
I've been able to out-tech everyone militarily, never understood why till I started paying attention to the techs they were going for. The tech that unlocks the desert promotion (I've already forgotten which tech this is. I meant to post this awhile back, but it never posted somehow. Forum might have been glitching) seems to -really- have this problem. They see these techs, then end up skipping them in favor of some techs that don't benefit them at the moment.
Could just be me and my luck, though. It's just kinda irritating when you're playing against some guys that are -supposed- to be big bads with empires, but end up playing as Sitting Bull. Anyone else ever experienced this issue?

Jeelen, you maps look excellent. However, my PC is quite old and I can't play maps bigger than small (or normal sometimes)

Do you have any Extra maps that are not quite so big?

Anyway, downloading the new Extra now - thanks Chiyu. I have 5 hours free this evening....

Errr... no, I'm afraid not. I use Huge size mostly, 'cause that's what I prefer myself to fit 18 civs on a world map. Sorry.

A couple of screenshots from 1066 AD for Extra (latest version):

- no. 1 shows the barbs building Victoria (meaning they beat me to Magellan's Expedition, which allows this vessel)
- no. 2 shows the Turks capturing Jerusalem (after I held it for 250+ years)
- no. 3 shows the Normans succesfully conquering England and gaining France as a vassal
;)

It's a shame that you can't spell "barbarians" in your screenshot :D

1066 for Extra sounds like a great idea! I'll have to give it a whirl.

Sorry but IMO, the totem pole doesn't fit in with the Soiux. A totem pole would fit in more with a Haida or Salish civilization

Call me crazy, but I've never heard of the Haida or Salish...
Maybe you should use their normal names, instead of something about 6 out of a hundred know? :)

Seriously, I can't argue or agree with your point without more knowledge. And since until now those two never existed to me, I can't fully agree with your idea.

Thank you for understanding.

Salish and Haida -are- their real names.
It's just that both of them are really, really tiny.

Well, if they're that tiny, maybe you shouldn't have mentioned them. :)

Also, are you certain the Sioux don't have totem poles? I thought most native Americans had them.
Probably, I'm very horribly wrong. :)

Hey, loving the latest version of this mod so far. Just one question: Since when can the Incans get the Hwacha, the Korean catapult? Hyana Cupac just attacked me, and he's weilding a few of them.

Edit: WTH, they have Berskers too? There are neither Vikings or Koreans in this game, so they couldn't have gotten them via trade.
