Wolfshanze, Perfect World freezes my Civ. I'm using Vista so maybe that's why... Anyway, just thought I'd let you know.
I can't test/diagnose your problem, because I stay far away from Vista... there are several known issues (and probably some more unknown issues) associated with Vista and Civ4.Wolfshanze, Perfect World freezes my Civ. I'm using Vista so maybe that's why... Anyway, just thought I'd let you know.
IMO we can revise your comment and make it more generally applicable:I can't test/diagnose your problem, because I stay far away from Vista... there are several known issues (and probably some more unknown issues) associated with Vista and Civ4.
Well, in my game loading a map using Perfect World takes a looooooong time, and loading saved games from said maps is rather hit-and-miss.I use WinXP and haven't had any issues using Perfect World. Dunno what to tell you on that one...![]()
Maps made in perfect world do take a long time to create... not had any problems bringing-back saves though.Well, in my game loading a map using Perfect World takes a looooooong time, and loading saved games from said maps is rather hit-and-miss.
After you mentioned having a problem with the heavy footman, I loaded-up the 34-civ earth scenario in world builder... I then placed all 34 heavy footmen on the board... didn't see a problem with any civ on my end.Yeah about the heavy footman. I cant remember which nation it was. But it just showed model with totally pink skin. It could be my videocard on the comp thought.
You know if it was a specific tech, or a group of techs (say, about to discover your first tech in the industrial era?).I use only windows xp, and still I've been getting CTDs.
So far I played as Germany and Russia. The CTD always happens when I press to run the next turn, especially if a new tech is going to be discovered; although it's happened when no new tech was about to be found as well.
Because Vista is Microsoft's new Windows ME?Not sure why you feel the need to condemn Vista...?
