[BtS MOD] Wolfshanze 1850-1920 Enhancement Mod v2.0

Got a CTD with both the 33 and 34 civs maps just by clicking on Germany in the choose civ screen (haven't checked the random map)...:(

This can sometimes happen if the wolfshanze.fpk is not in the correct folder. It only happens if you choose 'Play now!' option, since the civs chooser screen looks for the animated leaderheads (and the civs with altered or added leaderheads will crash). Whereas the 'Custom Game' start doesn't use any graphics, so here you won't notice at first... But I'm assuming that you've installed it correctly anyways.
 
Yeah, I suspect it's a graphics issue (but can't check it). BTW, I didn't use "Play Now!" - I'd already selected either the 33 or the 34 civs map.
 
Does ANYBODY know how to make a regular combat unit that is totally unbuildable? In other words, I want to create a unit that nobody can build, but could be gifted with the first to discover a certain tech... it might even make Ninja happy... but I don't know how to do this in XML... is this possible, and if-so, how?

Oops... nevermind... just got my answer... set cost to "-1" and it can't be bought... cool, this will make Ninja happy.

My guess is a nuke bomber of some sort.

Thinking about unbuildable units- here's an idea for one.

Renessance era Pike infantry. Set it so that melee upgrade to this unit for free when gunpower is invented. City Raider bonuses go bye-bye.

(Part of me really dislikes CRIII Mustketman), just wish I knew a good solution to that.

Ancient Chinese Secret... but yeah, the next BIG update will be good... it will of course break compatability with all previous saves, so I'm waiting a bit till I release it.

And yes, there will be a super-secret non-purchaseable unit added to the game that will make Ninja happy.

Available for download now... Wolfshanze Mod v2.68...

This is not a huge release... I'm holding-back on gameplay changes for a later update... this covers all the 80,000 or so new graphic models/skins that came-out 24hrs after my last update a week ago... so consider it a graphical update... not much changed in gameplay... it's just "prettier".

Still compatible with all v2.6x saved-games.

How do I install a new version? Just overwrite the old files?

Also, does zone of control exist in your mod?

Have you thought about included something like that? How about sea mines? I thought that would be cool.

Probably just best to delete the old mod folder and start fresh with the new download... any v2.6x saved game should work with the new mod, but if you have an older saved game (v2.5x or earlier) it won't work with the new verison.

No ZoC or sea mines in this mod.
 
Just graphics changes so won't affect saves.

Waiting for the gameplay changes myself- esp into of Air Force Mod, Active Defense (which I think is part of it), and Opportunity Fire hopefully. (I like fortified siege being able to damage adjacent units)

Yep... pretty safe with any saved game you have, as long as it was stared with v2.60 or later (and that was awhile ago, considering this is v2.68).

It's coming... I've got a lot of work on it already done.
 
Is there a way I can combine this mod with another? In this case, I want to put the stuff you made into Rhye's and Fall of Civilization.

Tried the 33 civ map: same @!$#^%*& CTD when I just click on "German civ" in the choose civ screen. Noticed something else though: clicking through the civ selections, almost none of the different special units show up (US: B-29, nothing else; Japan:kazukai or something, Medieval knight, none of the 1850-1920 units assigned to the different nations are listed).
 
Heavy footman units graphics dosent work. But other than that quite good mod =)
Can you be more specific? Which nation do you refer to?

UPDATE:
I just checked all 34 Heavy Footman in the 34-civ scenario and saw no problem with any of them, so a further explanation would be nice, and maybe I can help.
 
A plain fast Question.
Do you have different aircrafts for carriers and land.... ????
You know what I mean. Having this issue is more fun IMHO since you have to build aircrafts specially to land on carriers. Of course if you got the extra torpedo-bomber to go heavy vs ships....
