Maybe a dumb question, but I could have sworn I read somewhere that the that are required to have a certain number of walls built before you can build the Great Wall, much like the Forgotten Palace with Courthouses. Any truth to this?

It's true, if I remember correctly you need three walls.

It was in the 'forbidden thread' I think. I can't confirm right now as I'm downloading the patch (dial up ^^)... When it's done I'll look and see. That's an interesting question though.

Actually, no, I checked my BTS booklet and it says nothing about this.
I guess the "forbidden thread" was wrong, just as it was about the whole "need to create your own ocean trade route with buoys" thing.

Eh, I wouldn't trust the booklet. There are a lot of discrepencies in that (ie, Phalanx with March).

Many thanks again. Can you confirm if the Mayan Holkan requires anything other than Hunting to be trained? Do the requirements for it include Bronze Working or is it the new uber-rush unit?

Just looked in the civilopedia: no requirement for walls at all.

Does it really require Bronze Working? We had a big discussion about this in the Strategy&Tips forum. In Warlords at least it turned out that Spearmen only require Hunting and Copper, but not Bronze Working specifically.

There's a screenshot in this thread. I suspect it's a bit like the Sumerian courthouse - different requirements.

Yes, its marathon. No its not out, I borrowed from someone who can take games stuff home with them-its NOT torrent-, and will buy it as available.
