Yes.

Unfortunately, they seem to show up in the epic game as well...

Really? I thought that only was when you loaded the Next War mod?

Who are their leaders and what kind of traits do they have? Do they even have things like UU's and UB's?

I'm a little disappointed that the axemen aren't particularly ethnically diverse- only one looked different in the screenshot, and the mesoamerican one (I assume to be Mayan, as their swordsman was different) looks the same.

The scouts are good though...

I meant when you load up Next War and play an epic game. I don´t know anything about them, but I sure don´t want them in the epic game. :(

Minor problems that can easily be fixed with xml. If no one else does; I'll make a Next War XML patch within a few weeks (there were also issues with the soundtrack; apparently it doesnt have ancient or classical music even in the epic game..)

Really ? I hate the Zulu endless repetitious warbling anyway, might be a relief.

Two questions about intercontinental expansion:

1.) Does State Property's "no distance city maintenance" trait negate the extra intercontinental maintenance fee?

2.) Will the Forbidden Palace or Versailles count as a palace for intercontinental maintenance purposes?

Thanks.

Wait are you saying there is no ancient or classical soundtrack even in the (non-Next War) epic game?

Anyways thanks to everybody who has been posting screens and giving impressions it's been greatly appreciated.

When you load the Next War mod, you can play either the scenario or the standard civ game with extra techs. The buzz is that the soundtrack in the epic game is then not very good (theres a thread about this).

Of course, it doesnt happen if you haven't loaded the mod.

I knew about the problem with the soundtrack in the Next War epic game but I thought you were saying there was no ancient or classical soundtrack even without the mod loaded.

Thanks for the clarification.

Wattagi, there were supposed to be 12 scenarios included, but only 11 have been announced. What's the last scenario? Is it good?

So, gunships counter both artillery and mobile artillery...nice!

Also, I noticed that the Greek Market looks different from how markets look in Warlords...is that change across the board, or is that a civ-specific graphic?

Yes.

No. That screenshot is from the Next War mod, not the epic game. From first looks, the Next War mod is simply a normal game with extended tech tree. I haven't played it though in order to see though. But those civs aren't in the normal game.

edit: This was better answered in a previous post.

I didn't really show off the Axemen with that shot. What I was trying to show was that even though there are the old types, there are civs with different ones of that type. It was a little tedious picking and choosing the civs and their unit types, so that they could be shown. I gave up in the end and just showed those pics.

The were originally supposed to be 12 scenarios but 2 were scrapped (Chaos and Superrobo) and were replaced with Civ Defense.

Hi, Watiggi!

Are there any ethnical diversity in mounted, gunpowder, armoured, naval, air and missile units as well?

Could you possibly post some Civilopedia screens for the new Next War military units and buildings? Please... :)

A quick screenshot before I go that might answer some questions about number of mod/scenarios (and what's what): (I'll answer the other requests and dive into the New Wars Civilopedia tomorrow)

Man, I love that the Duomo is the backdrop on so many screens. That is one incredible piece of art/architecture...
