Bug reports and technical issues

If you reduce things to effective certainties then you don't have a game mechanic anymore. You have scripted events.

Lol no.

As a local, I can attest that San Francisco is vastly diverse with regard to religion.
Catholicism is more predominant in its presence than Protestantism on top of that.
You should visit Grace Cathedral and a number of the more prominent churches to see firsthand about what I'm talking about.
But really, from Hinduism, Islam, Taoism, Buddhism, Catholicism, Judaism, Protestantism and yes, Scientology; San Francisco is a very religiously syncretic city.

All San Francisco is missing is an Orthodox contingent.
None taken. Keep in mind though that Catholicism was the dominant religion in San Francisco since its founding
(it was a Spanish city after all) and that it's still persistent under U.S. control right now (albeit to a lesser degree).
I would have thought during the gold rush it would have become majority Protestant for a while.

I'm actually a little surprised at that map myself.
I would've expected it to be more... WASPy.

@TheSoutherner:
As others have pointed out, there are some major "ahistorical" things that happen commonly in this mod, like Poland or Corea going on an conquering spree on indie cities or super-Mughals.
The fixation on religion and historicity and a desire for historicity in this mod seems a little narrow and odd considering there are worse offenders.
If anything, if you really wanted historicity so much, the aforementioned instances of ahistorical conquests and superstates would be your first place to start.

Yeah I understand what you're saying. I suppose it's just a personal issue with religions spreading - because other ahistorical events don't bother me so much (although I do use WB sometimes - but that's just for my own comfort). The religious spread generally works really well in DoC - I was just very surprised to see Confucianism in Washington, etc, which I why I wrote the initial post. Where's Herr Meister and his "it's abhorrent when the Turks build the Brandenburg Gate" when you need him?

Hats off to Leoreth, etc, as usual.

You have to question whether the "largest denomination" is really that meaningful when comparing Catholicism vs. Protestantism when the former is one and the latter several denominations. All Protestant denominations may very well outnumber Catholicism in a number of counties.

Anyone else has Stability reset as you load a saved game, though it adjusts in a few turns? Playing 1.10.

Yes, that'd be great.

Here they are:
Carthage UU
Italian UU
Brazilian UU
Mexican UU
Colombian/Brazilian UB (just a small color change of the plantation button, to have a little difference in their buttons)

I also noticed that the Musketeer and the vulture aren't hidden in the civilopedia either.

NOTE: I do not mean to offend everyone with anyone of the buttons... :mischief::lol:

Great, thanks!

Could you make one for the Colombian UU as well?

Yeah, but I wouldn't want to keep that button because it was created by me with the wand tool and some color palette changes :mischief:

Nothing wrong with that. I also did the same for some buttons.

Thanks!

Remember, it's the largest single religious organization. There's only one Catholic church, but there are a ton of Protestant churches. Catholics are a majority in only two states (Rhode Island and New Mexico). There are a few plurality Catholic states as well, including Massachusetts, New York and New Jersey. Most states are majority Protestant, with the only other major exception being Utah (Mormon-majority).

So that I don't have to think about which variable I gave the civ when doing something with them.

If I may answer for Leoreth, yes.

For the same reason, con.iHeavySwordsman and con.iMaceman are both in the game. Iit doesn't matter if which one you choose, both are linked to the same unit/civ or whatever.
Look in the consts.py. You will see many of these "combos".

The Columbian conquering UHVs are now possible, but control South America checks, eventhough Mexicans still control Ciudad de Guatemala. Also I assume that it is intended that the indies don't count towards this goal?
