Bug reports and technical issues

That's good.

Perhaps we are running different machines, because upon reloading the save file I uploaded to this forum and proceeding to the next turn, my game once again crashed to the desktop. At any rate, I'm planning on reinstalling the mod in addition to the various add-ons you have released. From what I gather on the forums, the optimal order in which to install these programs is:

1) RFC DoC v 1.10
2) Blue Marble Terrain
3) VD and City Ethnic Styles
4) Soundtrack Module

I imagine upon uninstalling and subsequently reinstalling, the issue should have been resolved by the time I reload the file again. If I have any issues, I'll be sure to let you know.

I didn't delete anything, and the game didn't crash. Or was the upload after you delete something?

Ibn Tughluq asked to buy a slave which might have been the problem.

It keeps crashing for me now, despite deleting the slaves. It didn't crash in 1 of 6 tries, but there i didn't do anything another way, despite not having moved some units. Can't track this down unfortunately.

I didn't run your saves with VD or any other module installed, so that might be the reason.

I've downloaded the DoC Soundtrack Module and unpacked the WinRAR file into the Beyond the Sword/Mods/RFC Dawn of Civilization folder. When I look into the Assets/Sounds/Soundtrack folder, I find all of the mp3 files I expected to, and can even play them from my media player to verify that they are indeed the correct songs. The issue is, when I start a game, I still hear the old soundtrack, from when Leoreth originally included Islamic and East Asian tracks. Any ideas as to what may be causing this?

I've noticed this myself, looks like I'll have to reupload the Soundtrack module again.

I recently downloaded the patch for v 1.10 and unpacked the WinRAR file into the RFC Dawn of Civilization folder. Upon completing this task, I attempted to start the game, but the opening sequence has slowed to an absolute crawl, and when the game makes it to the main menu, performance is incredibly laggy.

If you don't get any error messages, there shouldn't be anything wrong here. Maybe that was caused by your system somehow? I didn't test the patch, though, if in doubt, delete and reinstall everything.

I downloaded and installed the most recent version of 1.10, equivalent to SVN 449. I then unpacked BlueMarble into the Assets folder, and VD for 1.10 into the RFC Dawn of Civilization folder. I then downloaded the Soundtrack module reuploaded today, and unpacked that into the RFC Dawn of Civilization folder as well. When I attempted to load the modmod, I got a dizzying sequence of error messages. The first one reads:

Failed Loading XML file xml\GameInfo/CIV4SpecialistInfos.xml.
[.\FXml.cpp:133] Error parsing XML File -
File: xml\GameInfo/CIV4SpecialistInfos.xml
Reason: Element content is invalid according to the DTD/Schema.
Expecting: {x-schema:CIV4GameInfoSchema.xml}Flavors.

Line: 235, 16
Source:
<iHappiness>1</iHappiness>

The second one reads:

LoadXML call failed for GameInfo/CIV4SpecialistInfos.xml.

The third one reads:

There are more siblings than memory allocated for them in CvXMLLoadUtility::SetVariableListTagPair
Current XML file is: xml\Buildings/CIV4BuildingInfos.xml

And so on and so forth. Perhaps it's an issue with VD?

after last update of svn

why i can build settler only in my capital? or it's new rules?

I guess there should be an exception to that rule for Moors, as they are multi-continent ... maybe Arabia too ... or just running Islam, they shouldn't be in the new world.

The rule is: you can build settlers only on the continent where your capital is until discovering Astronomy. Cordoba is your only European city, isn't it? That's why you can build settlers only there.

thx, now i check new strategy for moors with capital in marrakesh

I was able to resolve the errors causing the game to crash by editing some xml files. Apparently the Great Artist and Slave specialists were given a "Happiness" flavor which wasn't coded correctly, causing the game to crash. I simply deleted those lines of code, which allowed me to load the game, but I now face a new problem. I recently loaded a campaign as the Arabs, and there was no soundtrack to be had at all.

While playing as the Byzantines, i faced a messed up Turkish respawn:

So they tried to flip your capital in Constantinople?

Sorry, missed a couple of posts.
And so on and so forth. Perhaps it's an issue with VD?
It's the soundtrack module. I'll take care of that later. Deleting the iHappiness tags in the base game files messes up slave specialists.

There probably should.
