Bug reports and technical issues

That's odd. Do you have a save before that occurs?

I did have two, of two different instances;

One in the Hungarian hut and one in the Scandinavian hut.
The first one I saved over because I didn't think too much of it at the time.
When it happened the second time with the Scandinavian hut, I knew something was wrong.
I lost all my progress on the second time because I hadn't saved in a while and I can't remember the RNG path for it.

This is on your latest revision (174) by the way.
I'd love it if someone could pick an early civ and cross-check this with me.

Yeah, every time I click to research Calendar, I get a crash. At first, I thought this was random, because RFC: Europe's been crashing randomly recently. But I soon noticed, every time I selected Calender, be it on the tech tree or research bar/menu, the game would crash.

Once again, I am foiled by my computer's claim that the saved games file doesn't exist.

I'm going to double-check the problems with Calendar and Aesthetics, but I've got a bug of my own (or maybe just a question).

What are the conditions for the conquerors event? I was playing Spain in a 600 AD game last night. As soon as I got Optics, I loaded an explorer on a caravel and headed west. While I was en route, the Inca spawned. I saw land somewhere around New York, headed south to about Colombia, waited for the Aztecs to spawn, then unloaded my explorer in Texas. Never got my SoD. What gives?

Unfortunately, I do not have a save. Gomen nasai.

There is a 10 turn no SoD buffer, you must wait 10 turns from them spawning to receive it.

Yeah, there's definitely something wrong related to techs. There's only one change I made to the DLL recently, but I'm currently testing it for myself to make sure.

Interesting. I'll see if I can find the reason for that and fix it.

This isn't a new bug. It's just that old bug with all spawns whereby certain civs don't flip all their cities, notably France. I thought you were cognizant of this.

I recognized that it was an RFC bug, but never saw it before.

Really? I notice it every game of DoC I play. Or load for observational purposes.

Anyways, what is being done to keep the Mughals from making a pilgrimage back to their homeland?

Really, does it happen that often?

I'll probably have to revisit their stability map (they use Persia, who are notorious for meddling in that area as well), because it seems to be caused by Mughals picking up the cities collapsed Mongolia leaves behind.

If they have no stability there, they don't declare war on the independents.
