Bug reports and technical issues

Is this a bug? I built oracle but I cant select monarchy (which Im researching) or code of laws.

From DoC's complete list of features:
# "free tech" events like the Oracle or Liberalism only allow you to choose techs from your current era or earlier

I am not a big fan of very early civs, but proper use of oracle now requires that you be at the right era. I think you can't choose monarchy or code of laws because they're classical era techs, and according to the screenshot you are still in the stone age.

Iran is very bugged...
The capital is always destroyed, it takes 3 or 4 turns to spawn and the turns skips when they want.

Is there a patch or some kind of fix?
I would like to conquer the Middle East as Iran but it's impossible right now...

The current stability page doesn't show the Economic growth correctly. It is too low. Is it possible to show the old version of the total Economy (and others totals) number somewhere? Currently, while great in detail, the stability page doesn't give you a good look at the totals.

If I haven't missed anything, everything that goes into the "economy" category in Rhye's display either goes into the Economy or Trade categories in my new advisor, except Great Depressions etc. which I list separately.

I jst rolled a HRE start and flipped two independent legions which happened to be outside Mediolanum, however, because they were inside the independent territory still I cannot take any independent cities, including Wien and Roma, I just walk staright into the cities without attacking :/

Is there any other way to declare war?

I've had this as well, as Spain I flipped a Crossbow next to Independent Bordeaux but was not at war.

To declare war on the Independents, you need to first have founded or captured a city. Then select a unit that is outside of the Independent borders and order it to move into Independent territory. Strangely, your flipped unit that started inside Independent territory is not booted outside the cultural zone but remains on the same tile.

Are those bugs? I cant raze those two cities.

I can second this; for some reason, DoC has always been fickle about letting me raze Red Sea cities. Come to think of it, that might have been the case in base RFC too, I can't remember.

Could it be your culture in these cities?

Carrying slaves via Galley or Galleon somehow breaks the vessel in question-> the hull seems to be full eventhough the slaves were left off in Mecca:

Do you have a save from before loading them off the ship?

yeah had the same bug too. I loaded a slave into a galley but then sold him via diplomacy screen. the galley remains as 1/2 cargo spaces left... but you can't unload anything as there is no slave anymore.

Okay, the best solution is probably to not allow trading slaves that are currently on board of a ship.

Only slaves in cities perhaps? That's the same way turning troops into mercenaries work, right? (Except the latter doesn't seem to work properly)

I suspect the soaring high economic rating during a golden age is Leoreth's implementation of limiting the permanent stability penalty you used to get at the end of one, but I have no idea how it works exactly. Probably only he can answer that.
