Bug Reports and Technical Issues

Keep the mod you're playing as "RFC Dawn of Civilization", whatever modmod it actually currently is. At least if it's a version you want support for from me.

That's what it looks like. I'll investigate more.

I think that's incidental.

Maybe your edits got in the way of a proper update.
There is no conceivable way that could happen. The bug still occurs—the turn after this save, there's a whole slew of errors. The next turn, CTD.

I downloaded this from the zip file four days ago.

I then made a few changes to the folder Usersettings (copying it over from the old one), GlobalDefines.xml, GlobalDefinesAlt.xml, Civ4UnitInfos.xml, and Civ4EventInfos.xml. Those are the only changes I made. The only changes to EventInfos were making events that appeared in some, but not all games appear in all of them. The only change to unitinfos was the waka fix. The only change to GlobalDefinesAlt was enabling Harappa and Polynesia. The only change to GlobalDefines was setting the global warming probability to 0.

Are you saying that those changes are creating this python error related to collapses?

I don't use the auto-updating because I really don't want to spend a lot of time on trying to figure out how to get it to work for my computer.

I don't know, I only know that I cannot reproduce your issue. Try a clean clone instead.

Well I wouldn't risk it, it's easier to restore your setting manually if you need to.

Hi,
why am I getting "overexpansion", unstability and lost game, while all my cities exept one (which is in neutral territory), are in core / historical area?
I'm playing the "installer" version, last dowloaded on 03/21/2018.

P.S. There are still strange "monorail" from Pathaliputra to Malaysia.

Even cities in historical area contribute to expansion stability, only much less so then others.

You should have really settle Sri Lanka... Monorail is the way vanila BTS chooses to represent aqueducts. What is the size of your capital? That cow covers it.

Seems like not much less, 4 cities in historical area + 1 in neutral and I'm down. :crazyeye:

I didn't settle Sri-Lanka because I hate building cities on resources, that's really uncool. Adding some empty cell (without resource) to the island would be greate. The capital has 8 population, not so much because of the pirates )

Your expansion stability would be a lot better if you had another nice big city there.

Cities on resources on islands get all of the benefits a proper improvement on a resource gets, in case that's what you're concerned about.

I've loaded earlier save and noticed strange thing. On the turn 635 (944 AD) I've got expansion -7, then nothing happens... and on the turn 636 (948 AD) I've got expansion -17! What is that, a bug, or a hardcoded stability loss for thamils?

Your score only gets updated when the stability actually is checked.

Is it intentional that the Triumphal Arch counts against the National Wonder culture limit? Because I gotta say, that sure threw a spanner in the works of my Dutch game what with Amsterdam suddenly being unable to continue working on the Trading Company upon me conquering New Amsterdam.

You should really rethink how you settle your cities in this mod.
Here are screenshots from my Tamil game (emperor, epic):
City setup (India had settled Chennai and refused the flip, which really speed up things).

And my stability. After entering medival era I had no problems with it expansion.
