Bug Reports and Technical Issues

This might be by design, but cities still receive the "we desire religious freedom!" penalty when running Secularism, but not when running Syncretism. Save attached running Secularism and Syncretism!
It is intentional, the civic descriptions make that explicit.

You can apparently use a Great Spy to infiltrate the Independents (which naturally does nothing). This should probably be disabled?

I think it is fun feature. Unless AI is wasting it's Spies. Plus sometimes you might want to incite revolt in Indy city

Yes, but they don't.

You mean the current tile? It's not a coastal tile.

Oh, right... Perhaps we can extend the UP to any tile, please? There are so few eligible tiles otherwise and the entire experience feels sort of underwhelming.

No.

Hi,

I'm having issues launching the game with the most recent version of the develop branch. I'm able to load the mod just fine - a quick look into the Civopedia shows that it's correct - but then when I try and actually start a game, it crashes right after the setting selections. This is true in each scenario - 3000BC, 600AD, 1700AD - and each leader I've tried. I've gone through and done the Notepad++ editing on the Private Maps as suggested, but I'm still having issues. Does anyone have any ideas?

Speaking about "No."s, how do you feel about changing "import" 100 luxuries into "trade" for the 1st Swahili UHV? Currently it is very lack based, depending on Arabia and China being around the 35 turns before UHV's deadline. If we count both the import and the export of luxuries -- it will give player more agency in the matter. And historically, Swahili city states were known for supplying the world with Gold, Ivory and Slaves from the interior of East Africa -- all of which can be pursued by the player in the less lack depended manner.

Are you getting an error message? Please check if you have logging and Python errors enabled.

On 1.17, the first Egyptian animated leader crashes my game. This happens both in the menu screen when selecting which empire to play, and on the diplomacy screen. The crash seems to happen the instant that the game tries to load the animation, because I don't get to see it at all (and hence I don't know which leader it is, but it's whichever is the earliest).

I'm using the full install version with the bundled mods.

Unfortunately the bug makes it impossible to play in the ancient world because inevitably I'll meet the Egyptians at some point and the game will crash to desktop.
