Did you update to the latest CP?
Yep. Everything (CP, CBP, CSD, C4DF, EUI, and EUI Compatibility files.) is the latest.
I had something strange happen recently. It happened twice in the latest version of CBP (8-29v2) and the one before (8-20 I think).
I had pledged protection to a city state, but some turns later declared war to steal a worker (forgot to remove protection). After that city state hover text tells me that peace is blocked for at least 15 rounds. Counter goes down, and into negative values, and peace remains blocked. I cant make peace at all anymore.
So is that intended to prevent worker steal exploit, or is it a bug?
I use CP,CBP,C4D,CSD nonEUI-Comp. Because I play in german all locales are replaced with german ones in *.sql and all #.## with #,## in those mods. Somehow I fear this could be the culprit. I also use Extra Resources, Thals Flag Promotions, Quick Turns and RED unitpack.
Related question, is it correct to give C4D and CSD the denumerator treatment as well, or should that only apply to the base CBP mods? As always thanks Gazebo for your great work and taking time to answer questions. I love the whole CBP package!
I need some clarification.Since what I am about to present can be consider as bug or it could be feature that I somehow overlooked I decided to write here.Ok, here on this SS you will notice one weird thing and that's Polish Ninja (I wrapped SS in spoiler because of they are high resolution):
What is a deal with that ? I didn't have this kind of problem before v29-2 and aside from every addon that accompanies CP and CPB I am using JFD's Civilisation Pack 1 and 2,ExCE and Culture Diversity, which I used before v29 and I never had seen something like German landship (tank) or Cossak , or Ninja spawn for AI in Ancient era.Anyone else with this sort of problem ?
I am having AIs who are severly overestimating the price of stragtegic resources. It is probably for a lot of the game, but i found that where i am now in the industrial era with a lot of extra iron and horses i can trade them away 1 by 1 for like 35 gold. But the worst was when i now could trade 1 iron for 1 or even 2 cities with one of my neighboers. That cant be intended
Scroll a bit further in this bug thread. Seems your bugs are related to CulDiv or some other mods, not CP or CBP.
Huh, turns out CulDiv was problem but that only means that latest version of CP/CPB is incompatible with newest version of CulDiv, oh well.
Anyway this is really incredibly messy way to keep track of bugs, why Gazebo don't use something like https://trello.com/, it makes managing project tasks (like bug tracking , among many other things , I use it all the time when I have a project) much more convenient and easier.
Yes, and JFD is already working on a fix, I believe.
Gazebo is using GitHub for bug tracking. The thing is it seems too complicated for most people, so they prefere to post here.
Link to GitHub:
I don't mean to sound rude, but there is a very large link to github on the opening thread of this thread. Right at the top.
Side note: I can't control what you all read or don't read, but I do my best to make sure there are effective ways of transmitting and receiving information. If I seem overly patient with repeating myself, that's because I'm a college instructor, and, well...you get used to it.
I was getting crashes with the new version and removed the religion overview xml from EUI compatibility file and havent been getting any crashes. I have the new cultural diversity in addition to JFD's civs and Expanded exploring.
Barbarians took a city-state with the event from CSD. The barbarian city grew a size every turn until the city was finally liberated. It grew past size 50! The moment it was liberated, its population began to shrink back down to less illogical levels.
I think this was reported as being a bug with the barbarian enhancements mod.
The city hex doesn't count in the total faith depending of the pantheon.
Example : if I get Earth Mother and build a city on a gold source I gain no faith from the city hex but I get 2 faith from any other gold source (I have mining)
The bonus is on pantheons comes from the improvement, not the resource. That's working as intended.
Even with the newest version I'm still getting the CTD when bringing the cursor over to the research icon on the top left of the screen. RAS is no longer in my modlist, would there be anything else that could cause this problem?
I'unno. Mod list?

I still had the CTD when just using the CP related mods (CP, CBP, CSD, C4DF, CBP EUI comp.). You mentioned that there was a problem with the LUA so I thought that it might been an issue with CP related things. I dunno, it seems like I'm the only one who has the issue besides Elhoim. I deleted the cache and ModUserData as well so...I dunno.
Maybe, you have an outdated version of EUI? I remembered I got that bug, when I forgot to have the UI_bc1 in the DLC folder, but had the CBP Compatibility (EUI) mod activated so it created some issues.
I had the latest version, I went and downloaded it again and replaced it; still had the same CTD. I did notice that it said it was 8-29 but in the Date Modified in the folder window it came up as 8/28. Might there be an issue with me somehow downloading an earlier version or something?
I apologize if I've just overlooked the answer to this, but I've been trying to fix it since v(8-24). As new versions have come out, I've wiped my cache and ModUserData folders and installed the new versions. I've also started a new game, each time.

I'm also using the EUI (CBP v8-29).
(I'm 99% sure that's the current/correct modlist. I'll double-check it after this post and edit if necessary.) Seem to have missed one or two. Updated.
A large number of icons seem to be glitching out on me somewhat regularly:
Most of the notification pop-ups on the right-hand side
Religion icons in the city banner
Some icons on the tech tree, seemingly at random
There have been more, but exactly WHAT glitches out hasn't always been the same. I've found that deleting the LUA folder from the Compatibility files seems to cure these errors, but at the expense of some of the CBP-suite functionality, like asking leaders what they think of other leaders. (Said button is unavailable as an option with the LUA folder disabled). I have already deleted the LUA folders from CP and CBP in each version.
(By 'glitching out,' I mean that they are almost always black squares, except when they're black squares with red lines or simply don't render at all, leaving a blank space.)
I thought I had logging enabled, but unless I'm looking at the wrong log, it's empty, so I'm going to go turn that on and try to replicate the problem to give you guys some logs. Anything else I can provide?
Posting from inside the Steam overlay to note that we seem to have a mechanic effect, here. I go to reproduce the problem for the mechanics (you guys) and the problem vanishes. No graphical issues at all, so far. I'm continuing to play until I see one. Apparently logging was turned off, so I made the changes listed in the logging link at the top of this thread. I guess that was the panacea? I don't understand, but I'm not going to look a gift-horse in the mouth, for now.
And after 40-ish turns, I have my first glitch-out. This time it's the Engineer Specialist in the Royal Guardhouse building. I forgot to screenshot it before closing Civ V to post this, and upon going back in to grab the screenshot, it was fixed. Does this mean it's some issue on rendering side, rather than file-side?
Finally, some screencaps:
Above, two glitching icons on wonders in the Civilopedia. Note the tooltip icon AND the main icon are blank and/or glitching.
Here, the empty pop-up notification is for the discovery of the barbarian camp - the circle rendered fine, but not the icon within. I've also had these pop-ups render the way the icons in the previous two screencaps did.
I've saved a copy of all my logs at this point, so just tell me which ones, if any, you'd like me to attach.
