Okay so I deleted the mod, the mod user data and the mod stuff in the cache, but now when I try to open it with 7zip it can't
 
7zip can open the file - you dont need other stuff. Maybe the file is just damaged, try to download it again.
 
I think that i have found a bug-i was playing a game on continents map ,and i put star era modern.the problem i found is that,after some time ,all the rival have insane armies.what it was supposed to be the least advanced nation,it has all his land fill it with infantery and artillery,with even more in state cities ,and with powerfull navies.that without taking into account the 47 bombers on the capital.althrougth i could barely defeat their army,the airforce was just too much.anyway to solve it

Well, thanks for reporting, but this is not a bug.
The game is only balanced for starting in ancient era.
When you start in any other era you will encounter some problems.:eek:

I am having no luck at all getting the game to start with CCTP. I've downloaded the 3.1v off the link here on Civfanatics, I've cleared my cache, disabled all other mods. Game gets to the loading screen (after game setup), plays the appropriate intro for your Civ, sits there for a few minutes then crashes. I'm running an up to date (legal) Steam install with G&K and all other DLC. Any suggestions?

To your problem this sounds weird, the standard question is have you installed another version of this mod? Also sometimes even disabled mods can cause some problems.
Can you please post your log files of the crashed game, maybe this will help us to track the problem down.
P.S. not all maps are compatible at this moment, if you selected the wrong map this can also makes your game crashing.

I have used the V2 Workshop build in the past, but I unsubscribed from that and cleared out the mod files before installing the new build. I've also completely re-installed the game once since that post. I've tried using several different CCTP map options (random and earth with random spawns), tried both regular and extended. I've tried several difficulty options, using only non-DLC Civs, etc.

One item I could use some clarification on is the CCTP DLC enabler. I've been enabling that since I have all the DLC. However, when I disabled that, I did get the game to load (once) however none of the terrain rendered properly, it all showed as ocean (minimap and tooltips were both accurate however).

Which log files do you want and do you want the mini-dump? Other useful info:

Windows 7 x64, i7 3770k, 16Gb Ram, GTX670, 2x 256gb OCZ Agility SSD's. All drivers up to date with the latest non-beta drivers.

Configuration

Look for the following files under My Documents/My Games/Sid Meiers' Civilization V and open them in a text editor like the notepad (not in a word processor).

config.ini

Set LoggingEnabled to 1. Civ5 will write log files under the Logs folder, also

set EnableLuaDebugLibrary = 1


When you have changed this and start a game you get more details about the game and the database. You find the logs under Documents/MyGames/CiV/Logs. The most important Logs are Database and Lua, it shows what kind of bugs the game has encountered and can show why your game is still crashing.

Otherwise iam stucked, have you tried to verified the game by steam, sometimes this can also help.

Ok, so the only error I'm seeing in the LUA log is:

I realized that somehow I just need just 1 turn for every tech.
Even for the endgame techs I just need 1 turn. Not sure how this bug started...

The database seems fine, and the problem you posted above in the lua log, should not make any problems. At least my lua knowlege is limited, so i can only guess that the maps you have choosen are not working.

Can you give me an example of maps/map settings that you've used successfully?

I've tried several different CCTP random maps as well at YNAEM: large earth, and Legendary Earth with default options and with civs/victory conditions removed.

To be honest the only map i played was pangäa in the last time, but continents and archipel should also work. Iam not the map spezialist here, sorry:sad:

P.S. The settings should all work, never have problems with it
 
This isn't really a bug, but aren't the Gatling Gun and Machine Gun out of order in the tech tree? It doesn't make sense that you get the weaker unit second especially as this interferes with the upgrade path of the crossbowmen.

Also, this may have changed since G&K but I can't seem to upgrade my pikemen to riflemen. I've been training this unit the whole game(my starting warrior, got upgraded to spearmen from ruins) and now they've hit a dead end upgrade wise.

I'm on the current version(last updated Nov.24 right?) and playing with the extended setting.

Hi, I'll try to give you all information.
Running the newest G&K Version (see at screen Civ Version I purchased) and also the latest Version of this mod. Playing with Elizabeth, Map Ring, Tiny, Emperor and normal speed. (For all settings look @screens)

I uploaded also my quicksave - maybe it will help. I cannot continue the game like this :/

Any ideas?
