President Rips Iraqi Madman for Distracting Federal Government

Just two days after taking responsibility for failures of the Federal government’s response in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, President George W. Bush modified that position somewhat, telling reporters that former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein “should share at least some of the blame” for those failures.

“When the Federal government fails to live up to its responsibilities to the American people, the finger of blame should be pointed at one person,” Mr.Bush told reporters in the White House Rose Garden. “And that person is Saddam Hussein.”

After reporters appeared startled and taken aback by the president’s remark, Mr. Bush said that he could “connect the dots” between the Iraqi madman and the government’s poor emergency response after the devastating hurricane.

“For years, Saddam Hussein taunted us into believing that he had weapons of mass destruction, for one reason and one reason alone,” Mr. Bush said. “To distract us from preparing for hurricanes.”

Adding that “his evil knows no bounds,” Mr. Bush told reporters, “Now that Saddam Hussein is in the custody of the Iraqi government, he will never threaten the United States of America with his hurricanes again.”

The president also said that he was prepared to take further actions to protect the United States from hurricanes, such as invading Syria.

Reached at his prison cell in Baghdad, Mr. Hussein said that he was “disappointed” by the president’s comments, adding, “Now is not the time to play the blame game.”

Elsewhere, returning to Washington after his trip to the Gulf region, Vice President Dick Cheney said that Hurricane Katrina did little or no damage to the nation’s tax cuts.

Not as funny as it would be as it cuts very close to the truth

During Bush Address to the nation on Katernia it took just 15 lines of speech before he linked it to terrorism and 9/11

Well, Friendly Fire got it right. Bush is half-crazy, and his rule is one of the worst things that could have happened to the world. A profit-seeking madman in the lead of the strongest military and economic power, with lots of support, and not caring about what other people say, oh that´s acatastrophe!
Having a guy who is the leader of the onyl state ever to use nukes in war threatening other people for their supposed "WMD research" is not to be laughed at. It is to be pitied and held in shame.

OK, I know this is humor...but because USA used nuclear weapons to end WWII doesn't mean the country would act the same now. And President Bush doesn't have much to do with the WWII government...he wasn't even alive yet when the war ended.

Now that my rant is over, I'll be the first to say that I found the "article" quite funny. Similar to the "blame game" picture in one of the other threads in here.

Notwithstanding that, the USA are the main super-power of our times, called by some "the new Roman Empire". It has many characteristics that are similar: continuously expanding, seeking control, has/had an opponente in the East (USSR-Parthia, etc.)
And the expansionist politics dated from more than 100 years back are still on -if not, why are they invading countries now and then?- btu let´s leave it at that.

Could you post a link to that "blame game", please?

It should probably be pointed out that this is satire, not an actual event... (like the Onion, or the Daily Show with John Stewart)

I am aware of that. It is very easy to imagine him saying this however.

Yeah... with his visit to Argentina I hope not to run into him ´cos I would bludgeon him to death (me and a few other hundred thousand people in a mob)

what next? they will say stalin caused theTsunami!

Next time he'll blame me for all the anti-Americanism in Norway...
Nope, he´ll accuse the ancient vikings of attacking the New York harbor in 882 a.C.

That´s why... Bush should be put into a madhouse.

Norway is a real suck-up.
What do you mean? I know nothing about Norway, except that it´s very easy to win if you conquer Ireland, Danemark and England fast enough.
