C2C civilizations megapack

Another thing is that the modmod folder I have, is "incomplete", due to me deleting civs from said folder; either because I find them inappropriate, out of place, redundant and/or the only leader featured was a historical monster (seriously, who the hell thinks Pinochet is the only viable leader for Chile, when Allende is right there?).

However, long after said fact, one of the leaders of the project told me "I hope you don't delete any of the civs, because we're planning to align them with our parallel culture system", and that has honestly made me feel kind of guilty and kind of made me not want to do this anymore... :/

Sorry to demotivate you. I just see this all as a body of potential work to apply when we get to that point. I'm not sure what would be inappropriate. I realize some may be out of place being fantasy or fiction based, though quite a few do like having those options. Some could be redundant I suppose.

If you have an issue with a limited number of leaders and the specific leader(s) included, add more maybe?

I guess I'm a design packrat. I'd prefer it there to be used for some side project if needed than just removed. IMO, this should all be optional content anyhow right?

I said it was up to you, and it really is as you would be the one doing the work to bring these extra civs to the latest version of C2C.
You are entirely free to remove or add civs and leaders as you please in your re-upload of this modmod. You could call your version of the modmod a new name and put it in another thread if you like.
Have some self confidence in your judgement and ability to make sound choices, sure listen to others but don't let it stop you in your tracks if you disagree.
 
How many civilizations can I activate at a time? I chose my favorite nations about 15 pieces, but in the end I found only Venezuela and then only through a custom game, I clearly followed the instructions, but the game still started to give me errors about the nations that I did not even activate

This is an outdated pack for C2C. It doesn't work with the current version.

I made my own updated version of this pack, however it only works if you have the current SVN installed. There's also a few bugs here and there (like missing/strange text, and specific colors not working for certain nations). I'll eventually update it, but I'm currently putting it off until the next major release of C2C, because I know that they're are some major changes coming and I don't feel like working on something that's most likely going to be redundant possibly by next month.

Thank you so much, I'll try your version of the pack. I would like to add at least Mexico and Canada, I always wanted to have these two countries in one mod, I will keep up to date with how your pack works.

No mods needed to install, but there may be some bugs left in modback

I've vaguely heard of a problem with hotseat and will look into it at some point. In the meantime, PBE or maybe a lan game might work, which is funny cuz usually those are way harder to get working well.

I heard it need a special program to play over a local network. My friends and I just like to get together at home sometimes and play Civilization, like a board game on the same computer, with beer and pizza you know))

wow... I can imagine that and it would be a kick! You don't need a special program over a local network, just a local network, but I love how you make a hotseat game sound. My wife and I used to play a lot of hotseat before and around the Warlords expansion. That was a lot of fun. I may try to dive in and figure out what's causing a crash on hotseat for ya soon.

I think this mod is the best thing that happened to the Civilization series, it's a pity that the developers still haven't thought of releasing a game at least similar to this modification. Now I'm working on a comparative review of Civilization 4 vs. Civilization 6, and then I think just to make a detailed review of this modification, which would attract the attention of Russian-speaking fans.

Закончил писать сравнительный обзор на Цив4/Цив6, но на данный мод написать увы не выйдет. К 100 ходу игра начинает постоянно вылетать, а к 150 вылетает окончательно(( Очень жаль(

Вот уж чего-чего, а вылетать игра уже не первый год перестала.
Скачай самую новую, а лучше вообще SVN - ничего вылетать не будет.
Ну, а если у тебя комп совсем уж дохляцкий - не врубай больших карт, а играй на Стандарте или около того.
Ничего никуда ТЕПЕРЬ уже не вылетает, это точно - я вообще о такой проблеме забыл, как о понятии.
Если у тебя вылетает - значит, ТЫ что-то не правильно делаешь, серьёзно.
И подозреваю в первую очередь на версию.

Ну я скачал из темы там самую свежую версию 1.42 вроде или 1.43 к ней даже старый пак цивилизаций не подходил. Но возможно как раз дело в том, что я поставил что то не так в самой игре. Я взял Канаду из пака цивилизаций, Терру огромную, может дело в этом. А что есть SVN не совсем понимаю?

Самая типичая ошибка: Писать новую версию ПОВЕРХ старой.
НИ В КОЕМ СЛУЧАЕ!!!
Убить нафиг ВСЁ старое (даже сеттинги, если очень давно не обновлял, а то и там бывают глюки).
Если же ты скачал и записал начистовую 41.2 отсюда, то тогда странно.

Ещё раз - игра просто вырубается, даже без ругани, или всё же чего-то там выдаёт за "ашипку"?
Что до SVN, то это обновляемый репозитный онгоинг, что иногда чревато сбоями, но в целом уже давно перевалило за новую версию.

Хотя в принципе, не сильно и нужно, если ты только "врубаешься" в игру (т.е. мод) - это больше интересно "старожилам".
Обычно это "проды" по мелочам, хотя бывали и немаленькие "прорывы" тоже.
А до новой версии этого придётся ждать целый год обычно - тут же это получаешь сразу.
Но - на любителя, так что лучше начни с ЧИСТОЙ 41.2 версии.
