Hmmm I forgot to mention I added some new res "diamonds" in Namib and Australia (saphire, jade, amber and rubies were already on it), existing gems on the map I did not remove I guess...
Revision to DRJ's work
A great thanks to DRJ and philipschall for work. What is the latest GEM map and what for resources are still missing![]()
There are two maps in my previous post zip. The regular is DRJ's map with updated resources (no gems, a couple extra things), and the v1.1 is my own alteration where I deleted australia & Byzantine, slightly moved some starting positions, and added a second chinese and Indian civ. In BOTH maps, native american civs are still present. I haven't done anything that radical.
Is there a way to use some of these maps with a Custom Game? I'd like to be able to do a game with some of the Custom options enabled.
I think there are 3-4 resources still pending. I am not sure when I will get to them.
On the GEM map, I would heartily recommend setting the start date to 12700 bc. You will get much more of a reasonable historical timeline, with pyramids made around 3000bc, agri & sed lifestyle around 5-4000 bc. Just for those who care about dates & such.
I'm back, midterms, reading week and Crusader Kings 2 (so much awesome) are on the sidelines now...
I'm going to be looking at the newest SVN in time when I finally get it updated.
Then fix up the map again. Huzzah!
Anything else that needs tweaking, find my list that I need to go though from before.
How many new resources are there? Importance and must they be included ASAP?
Just want to check, I need to fix my overly abundant reefs.
Personally, I don't mind looking at Rhye's Earth map, I have fond memories of it, but I will probably have to use the simplified resources, such as gems in Madagascar since it is known for Rubies and Saphhires.
Gems are out, they are no longer a map resource.
There coasts and oceans are now split into polar, temperate and tropical. Deep (or far) Ocean still to come.
