Is slowdown normal near the end of the game? I have an i5 @4.5ghz and turns take around 1-2 minutes around the digital age. Only 4 other cpus on a standard sized mapA new Dawn ran a lot better for me.
Yes. We're optimizing and fixing performance issues as we get to them, but obviously that's mostly been in earlier eras thus far. If you come across a position where performance drops significantly post a save game and a brief description of the issue (usually end-turn is taking a long time being the common description!), and (when I have time, since I'm currently very bogged down in the multimap work), I'll run your end turn from your save game through the profiler and figure out what is taking all the time (and hopefully then address it)
