C2C SVN Changelog

I hope you do not mind me posting in this thread.

An updated version of SEM-Plus, that is compatible with the current version of C2C.

I have tweaked the replacement Civs and added land tiles to Japan and changed some terrain features and other things.

I will remove the attachment when either Stategyonly or Faustmouse say they have downloaded the file.

I have not yet updated the SEM+ thread as I need to give more detail there. And it is bedtime.

- Remove the Wonder Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa by Platyping. It is not fun, it may be moved to the Bad Karma modmod later. @Hydro this changes some of your files.
- Tidied up some python code including the volcano stuff. It seems to not be doing the excess food but it is also not reporting the events at all. The rest is still working OK
- Changed the Clay event to give Fine Clay. This means I sort of undid 7719 :D

The Embassy mod (aka Culture Wonders) I assume. That's fine. All it was is faster building speed from the historical culture that made it.

Updates 7721-7724
  • Adds an AIWeightbyUnitCombat tag for promotions - used to get the AI to select Anti-Crime and Anti-Disease promos as a high priority for Law Enforcement and Healer units. They were having to build too many of these units to manage crime and disease because they had no value on property modifiers and since I didn't want to delve into trying to get a generically successful method of evaluating property modifier promos I felt this would be the easier way to establish value for them. Should make a huge difference in AI efficiency and economy.

  • Specialists that offer xp will be valued higher (by x3 the normal xp valuation) for assignment when the units that would benefit from them are being built.

  • Reverses one of the K-mod mergers Alberts did as it does not work well with the contract brokerage system.

  • Fixes some very bad AI evaluations for whether to build Settlers or not. Should be much improved growth rate both for holding back when appropriate and growing when appropriate.

  • Workers now consider the value of the improvement they would replace against the improvement they'd put on a plot. This was very problematic and had workers overbuilding everything because they saw no value on the improvement that already existed on the plot. Represents a HUGE improvement for the efficiency of the AI!

  • Changes the way Barbarians evaluate the barrier on hero units to keep them from ever naturally spawning any unit with a global, national or team limit of 1.

  • Fix that allows units to board ships for the AI on Size Matters - they may have been unduly inhibited from doing so.

Well... that's it for all minidumps from here on. I am no longer being allowed to commit the pdb. The file is apparently too big. I had been able to until the location of the pdb archive was moved but since it was moved to the trunk I can't commit it anymore. I'd managed to struggle through it a few times up til now but at this point it just won't go through anymore. I've been trying for about 2 hrs here and after 5 tries I get the permission denied error each time (and it takes about 20 minutes with each attempt.) Forget it!

Are you committing a compressed version of it? A test shows that a .pdb file compresses quite well - a .7z file made with default options gets around 10 to 1 compression.

Yes. It gets it down to about 11meg. Not enough apparently.

Nope. I might have better luck if I try to generate a fresh checkout with the option that enforces you put in your password tons of times every time you want to do something.
