We can have an Installer with multiple options in NSIS, it's a plugin and you have multiple folders, one folder per option. I will figure it out.

Definitely, see ABOVE statement by me :p (As long as Koshling, DH, Thunderbrd and Hydro are ok with it)
 
Yeah i do also, especially IF we can get it to work like Afforess had it working with ALOT of options, right there in the installer itself.
To do it the other way after we get the installer working correctly, just wont make sense, IMPO.

Done. This is how it looks like. The Setup has the Caveman2Cosmos Icon. You can play with it [Attachment]. All you need is to unzip Caveman2Cosmosx v1 Setup.zip .It should upload an Image of the checkmarked mod to Mods/Test/Assets.

When compiling(putting Installer together), each Addon loaded from its Own Folder somewhere outside Program Files so you can be sure its not inside the Main mod.

I think an installer would rock yes. So long as I don't have to use any part of it in any way as I'm working with the SVN.

Totally agree, it would only be used to distribute the Official Version to Players, and only when StrategyOnly tells me too or when he does it. I will probably include an extra "Page" telling players they should back up their settings before installing. I can even put a "License" that is modified to be a Credit's list.

Hi guys, thanks a lot to all the staff of C2C that have made a great great great work . I played whit v32 but i have not finish the first era (prehistoric) becouse i had many problem whit crash , slowdowns etc . cause my pc that has only 3giga ram . Although I can not play with the new version i will continue to follow your work . Sorry for my bad english

V33 is out and you should NOT have any crashes with this version. You need the 3GB switch if you have a 32 bit PC. Also if you want to talk any further about crashes etc, pls use the bug/crashes thread, and thx for writing.

Yes is really Great , i know ! Ok i'll install again the game and this new version ... and i'll try to play . A Few week ago i have know this mod , i finished to translate in italian the "words" remaining ( thank to Hale_9204 for his work) and played. I used 3GB switch (small map and max 5 IA civilization) but i dont overcome the prehistoric era . For desperation i delete the mod and so also the work of translation. If work i promise to retranslate everything.
P.S. I see that i wrote in bad section , if you want Strategyonly move to right section.Thanks!
 
The non-installer version should be available (soon) here. It is also 300 MB smaller than the installer.

I don't think its going to pass authorization, you can't have duplicate mods/files at Moddb. I edited the description, and hope it passes.

I agree, just name the one ls612 is doing to C2C v 33, no installer, that should do it??

Maybe you could remove the old installer, as regardless of the merits of the installation methods mine is 300 MB smaller. Also, since I can't seem to find the button you used to edit the description could you please edit the description to explain the installation process (delete old C2C folder, extract to the BtS Mods folder)? Thanks.

I renamed it to Caveman 2 Cosmos v33 (.7z) and I then copied the summary we had. That should be acceptable. It usually authorized in less than 1 hour, and Modbb tends to perfer .exe than .zip/.7z. We will see. Gamefront is good for .zip/.7z

Huh? Don't you know mods that change the DLL are incompatible with Macs?

Just pushed to SVN (6199):
  • Fixed small issue with groups that have both hidden and non-hidden nationality when culture of an enemy spreads to their plot
  • Small performance improvement of graphics paging operations
  • Made auto-build buildings appear in new cities immediately when they are founded (as per DH request)

Note - I'm going to be away from tomorrow for a bit over a week, so this is likely the last update from me for 10 days or so.
 
Is it ok that my borders are not respected? I use to have wars with my neighbor and now we had peace treaty and later the treaty was over... we have no open borders, not even an embassy, but my neighbor walks his units inside my territory...

me and Cuba, see those units near my western city? As well as I used to see his naval units pass through my cultural zone... Probably that might have been caused by my Open borders civic?? Are these SO open?


Mmmm and I noticed that there is no way to check experience piece of advice before unit construction... Ctrl-mouseover in unit list doesn't work.
