First Spain is pleased to announce that it has signed a Mutual Protection Pact with its great northern neighbor, France.

Both Countries Diplomats hail the agreement as a committment to defend our mutual border and colonies in the New World.

The second agreement involves a Peace Treaty between Spain and the Iroqouis nation. Spain also receives two cities and gold in the exchange.

It depends on what your strategies are, Catholic is better for war and Protestant better for developing. Anyone planing an assault on the native empires should really be in Catholism.

reinforcements. Then the badly wounded British Colonial Knights
pass the now scared marching MIs.

Town of Great Lakes, N.A.
At the town of Great Lakes rumor has that a unit of MI
have been killed. The bodies being found without scalps.
Fresh Colonial MIs from England have crossed the Dutch
border east of the town. They are headed to Salamanca.

London
The Portugese have informed England that all lands
in Afrika, East of the Elephant Graveyard is claimed
by the King of Portugal.

Well... Attacking that Yorkist archer seems to have had an effect. Sixteen Yorkist pikemen have appeared in its place!

The Netherlands agree to an English ROP after repeated requests to facilitate the movement of English troops though Dutch countryside.

Edit: P.S. I'd like to keep playing this scenario, it's my favorite one at the moment, but I've given Sully my password so I can be replaced if I hold things up.
