C3C PBEM - Age of Discovery - 'Colombo'

Sorry for the delay, i had a deluge of game files (and emails) Monday morning and have been playing catch-up
I'll play and post tonight

I am having extended problems with my home internet connection and may be unable to play until at least Monday (07-02-2007)

Internet has been restored! It was down for over 12 hours Thursday evening thru Friday morning so I wanted to be sure everyone knew I was having difficulties and it was too short a notice to brief a replacement player.

GPS qummik

on the subject of Protestantism, the only RoP I had was with Spain and they are now the same government.

Elements of a military taskforce arrive in Southern America whilst explorers in Africa make a major discovery

Hey,

GPS to Askully.

With Spains conversion to Protestantism England has revoked its ROP &
Declared war on Spain.

07. Catholic Monarchies can not have the following agreements with Protestant Monarchy nations: MPP, MA, ROP.
07b. If two Catholic nations have an agreement (MPP, MA, ROP) and one of them changes the Government, the nation that changed the Government must declare war on the other to break the agreement. NOTE: the war does not have to be pursued and it can end immediately, it's just for the purpose of breaking an existing treaty. A nation that changes government without any treaties does not have to declare war to anyone.

Spain should have declared on England because of the ROP.

And we declare a "paper" war with the Dutch to nullify our existing peaceful pacts.

Now..just because a change a gov..are we saying that Protestant Govs cannot have pacts with Catholic nations? Now course that was the way it was. So..clarification please!

And I did get the save..about a hour after you posted here. It would seem our ISP direct connection is coated with peanut butter!!!!

Playing the save now....

The Spainish Government attempts to resume peaceful relations with the Dutch and English nations.

Meanwhile Spain completes its peaceful transition to Protestantism and its more "worker-friendly" attitude.

GPS to the Dutch.

GPS, nothing to report.

Just wondering, when piracy starts up (as I'm sure it will :mischief:), how will we report actions, as it will rather give away the game? Or will it be up to each nation to keep track of her own ships, and recognise when plundering is afoot?

Thats a good question. We just when through this in the tRBS pbem.
Good question.
I'd say no. Leave it a mystery to the nation that lost the ship.
If they want to report let them.

I believe it would be up to the nation that lost the ship to pirates. Why would pirates want the location of thier activaties known.

At least you all have Hidden nationalities(?). I have to go to war if I go a Pirate-ing. :cringe:

Oh and to the Pirate question...Spain position is neutral...that is..if any of her ships are attacked by Pirates...her Frigates will just sink their ships from underneath them and then sink the closet ships in proximity!! Then we'll report the sad news!

GPS qummik sorry about the delay
It is believed that a French expeditionary force has been launched against the Inca. Portugal's attention is drawn by a large force of Songay who make acqusations that the Portugese have violated sacred burial grounds. A special naval police force has been created with the hopes of reacting quickly to native incursions against our colonies in Southern America.
