C3C PBEM : Rise of Rome - scenario-based PBEM

mail.ru is a very good server (sometimes) which does not (sometimes) accept mails from spamming domains. I've put you in address book and that should deal with all problems. the whole thing is strange because I actually got from your address notification that the savegame file was received. Thanks for the log, it really makes the life easier :)

Akots Battle log: 4/4 Horseman defeats 3/3 Horseman 3 to 1
4/4 Horseman defeats 1/4 Horseman 1 to 0

Ceasar makes his triumphant landing in Sardinia!
Ceasar, being the only valid leader left alive after the battlefield deaths of Darius, Alexander, and Hannibal (One has to wonder who are the pretenders running their countries now?) will entertain all offers of surrender from his battlefied offices on the Island of Sardinia and will go leniant on supplicants now, rather than levying more brutal and harsh terms later.

305 BC turn sent to Akots.

Dear fellow leaders!

For your own good, and considering the ruthless brutality of the Romans, I encourage you all to fight Rome now while you still have the chance!

Hannibal, merciful leader of Carthage

...says the current leader in Victory Points. (Or is that Macedonia?) Anyway, Rome is near to last in terms of Victory Points, so no real threat over here! ;)

Well, Rome sure isn't the last. The Egyptians are here for that very role. Indeed ! But what a pleasure to live on the fertile banks of the Nile. zzzzz !

Victory points have no meaning whatsoever in this game. Rome's millitary and economic might is what matters, and frankly, nothing holds up to that. Unless, dear leaders, we unite against evil Rome!

Our hoplites are scared of Roman legions ATM. More than of Persian Immortlas. To tell the truth, have seen only few of these and killed them all so far. But what about the infamous Carthagian War Beasts, so-called Elephants? They surely can crush the Romans in no time! And the well-known Carthagian navy is dominating over Mediterranean!

Rome may as well be on the moon--I have my hands full dealing with Macedonian Hoplites at the moment.

Akots, your encrypted email address defeats me so I will post your battle logs here:
4/4 Horseman defeats 4/4 Hoplite 4-3
3/3 Archer defeats 1/4 Horseman 1-1

Ceaser announces Sardinia is free from the "Cannibal's Scourge". Rather than fight an honorable battle, the last city lays in ruins, its citizens slaughtered. All while the nearest Roman forces were a hundred miles away.
"I surely would have offered easier terms than what Hannibal gave them." Ceasar was overheard to have said dryly.
The Carthaginians have retreated to their strongholds in Africa and Southern Iberia. One has to wonder at which place the Legions will strike next?
