C3MT v1.12.6 installer

C3MT - Civ3MultiTool (Second CFC Thread) 2016-10-05

What version are you running?

I really need to use the 'Image 2 map' section but its not working for me. I've looked all over and havent found a tutorial on using it.

What I get is this:

I save an image, paint on it on gimp 2, but when I import back and turn into a Bic the terrain is all wrong (what was water is now plains), and it gets over-stretched (width).

Whats going on?

I think you've applied the colours wrong, from the sound of it.

Having trouble getting C3MT to run on my laptop, I've installed the full version found on post #1 and it says it installed ok..and did the update

I run the pgm tells me thanks for updating..I try to run the SGE and it tells me off good and proper, by saying it can't find c3mt.dll (File not found: c3mt.dll (53) in c3mt @ frmSaveEdit.frm Line 0)

I've included the log file and a screen grab of the error it'self..
so can anyone tell me how to fix this little error?

I'm running C3mt on Win 7 pro x64.

Thanks

This file should be in the same directory as c3mt.exe. Is it? If not your installation might be faulty. Where did you install it?

Yes the c3mt.dll is there (double checked). It's installed to program files(x86), what's weird is C3mt works w/o a hitch on the desktop, but on the laptop it wants to give me grief.

When you use the Unit Creation Wizard to create a new unit, does it automatically add the respective text information to the Civilopedia.txt and PediaIcons.text files? Suppose not, but wanted to make sure to see if I can save myself the extra work.
Thanks

I mean for Civ III Conquests

OOOOPS just noticed the please do not post questions here thread; I am posting the question in the main C&C section accordingly....

My C3MT now shows 'strange things',was OK more turns before 1100-1200 AD.Research of AI wrong, golden age existing,etc.Reinstalling,too,errors.What can be the reason ?

I play usually against 3 AI.In the second game I saw how are changes:
When a player is eliminated, one AI will keep research progress(constantly) of eliminated AI,and those 2 civs in game are reversed,if a player is Republic,a player Monarchy,C3MT shows wrong informations.
Strange...

Hey guys, maybe you can help: I want to export a savegame to a scenario file - usually not a problem - but it does not work. The tool just freezes. Can anybody help?

Your save is from a MOD maybe and contains rules, when a save contains rules,me too can't export the map. This is the reason for crash of C3MT.Maybe an expert in this tool can explain the steps to modify your save,to be available.

Thank you for the answer. You may be right, but it worked before (before I switched to Win10). If anybody can export this, the rules are not important. Just the units and cities on the map would suffice. :)

Alas, I can get the rules, but not the map. Rebooted into Windows XP x64 from 8.1 (where I have issues getting C3MT to run), and while it crashed a couple times, I was eventually able to export it. However, Firaxis's editor tells me it is not a valid Civ3 scenario file when I try to open it, and my editor throws an error when opening the cities, indicating the file has some unexpected value. C3MT also gave a message indicating it may not expect some of the values, reading "This save is in interest for the continued development. Please send it zipped to gramphos@apolyton.net".

Looking at it in a hex editor, it seems C3MT did not export a CITY section (or a UNIT section) for it. I'm not sure why; every map section up through SLOC (including TILE) was present, but then it skipped to GAME. When I try exporting it with rules, it crashes. Definitely something strange, and the skipped sections also explain why neither Firaxis's nor my editor could read it (and mean that even if they could, they wouldn't have the info you are seeking). Unfortunately I am not familiar enough with the SAV file structure to interpret much from the decompressed version of the file you uploaded, but I am curious if there's any expected abnormalities about the SAV file.

When I try to install this, I get the following attached error.

I am on windows 10.

I've tried installing it to the path that comes up by default: C:\Program Files (x86)\C3MT and also to just directly to the C drive.
I've also tried running the .exe both as an admin and normally.

I haven't tried pressing "ignore" and proceeding anyway. I'm not sure if that is safe. Looks like it may well not be...

Has anyone had success installing this on Windows 10?

You should install the program with Win XP compatibility mode, also as an admin:

For me everything I try to export as a scenario the editor keeps yacking is not a valid civ file. It's a mod that inexplicably stoped working. I can load the savegame and play it just fine, however I can't save it or enable autosaving because the game crash as soon it tries to save the game. I can keep playing any number of turns, but can't save the game, so I'm trying to export everything to a scenario and see if I can go from there but no luck with any and all options enabled, all the same time or separated. The editor always says is not a valid civ scenario.

I'm on windows 10 64bits btw.

There is the save. The mod is the Warhammer Fantasy battles one.

When exporting with the rules the multi tool does gives a warning about Unknown section: y after BLDG.

What could be happening?
