Incorrect. The old map showed the parallel tracing a drunken path between the 48th and 50th parallels, and while America did say 50th parallel in one agreement, it was also referred to as the 'OTL America-Canada border'. Given the fact that the map very clearly shows the border on the 49th parallel, any statements to the contrary are just plain wrong.

We resolved this over half a year ago.

OOC: Regarding Vastermark 2, aren't there like rules for tincture? (not that I know anything of them)
Anyway I like number 1 and 1, though I don't like a half-green flag with black and white and blue (I really liked the other flags though, I'm sorry for being negative this time).

There are rules for tincture in heraldry, but vexillology is not, strictly speaking, heraldry, and there are countless examples of various symbols and emblems that break these rules.

This isn't a grammar thread, but I should post why I edited it back after first editing to your spelling: The BBC (http://www.bbc.co.uk/spanish/specials/1125_questions/page6.shtml) and dictionary.com (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/learnt?s=t) is fine with it, but a quick google check shows it is bad form in the US. That's 1 out of 2, which is good enough for me at least, so I corrected it back. Sorry.

Oman and Yemen will be pleased to accept peace at prewar borders and the status quo before the war. We doubt however that the empire's aggression will cease.


As for the Deadline for the orders, that is not yet determined. I will be just automatically deleting any order submissions at this point. Tomorrow I will start work in earnest in getting the next thread up and running, but that will likely take most of this week, as there's lots of work to be done.

The fifteen years since the war began have seen the dawning of a new age for Argentina, with a vigorous, diverse, and free domestic economy producing most of the world's automobiles and cinema, and providing opportunity for immigrants, citizens, and businesses, while still maintaining its traditional ties. Adlö

Adlö was first incorporated as a colony of the Swedish Empire in 1834, as the colony of Adolphö (Adolphus Island). Its unwieldy name was quickly contracted to Adlö, an appellation which became official with the proclamation of Vinlandic independence in 1865. The smallest of the landsdelar in terms of area, Adlö is composed of Adolphus Island, and the Empress Kristina Archipelago further to the north. Culturally, this island landsdel shares much in common with Haroldstad, although Adlö’s earlier founding date has granted it a somewhat more old-style and ‘aristocratic’ flavour, with many members of the Scandinavian noble classes establishing manors and summer residences on the island. Perhaps a more significant difference is that Adlö was much less accommodating to its skraelings than Haroldstad would later be, as it forcibly relocated them to the mainland during the early years of settlement. Today, Adlö’s population is fairly evenly spread through a series of small communities. The economy is driven by the coal mines centered around Musslasundet, while the fishing fleets at Holberg and the capital city of Porten Adolphus draw in huge catches every year. Logging supports much of the island’s rural interior, while a large number of farms stretching along the interior coastline make Adlö a net exporter of food. The island’s scenery, both beautiful and rugged, its old-world gardens, and its florid 1830s/40s Gustavian architecture have proven to be a strong draw for tourists, whose presence on the island continues to boost an economy that is otherwise falling behind its rapidly-growing neighbour on the mainland.
