Cats and Kittens

Well, I was up to take on the Lex Cuteness challenge so took out my tablet and went cute kitty hunting.
But alas, once again my guys proved to be craftier than me.

Maybe I'll have better luck next time.

What a handsome boi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get used to him being in charge :egypt:

lool yea he is such a poor and naive cat, but if I let him in charge, sky is the limit of his satisfaction lol

This is our cat Kitty the Pitty, we name him like that because his life is a sad one, he keep getting dry food while his only wish is to eat chicken. But of course his stingy human doesn't approve such

simple request.

My cats easily recognize their name when food is the topic, other times, not at all. They just act dumb, but they're not fooling me.

Our cats run the house through expert delegation of duties to my wife and me. Mind control in action.

Since it almost reached 70 yesterday, we opened the window in our family room. Our 1.5 year old cat immediately went flying toward the open window sticking her nose to the screen welcoming the fresh outdoor air that she has been denied the last 5 months. Our youngest has never experienced it and cautiously approached the smells the wind was blowing in. It will take her a bit to not be scared of it. I guess she liked the glass between her and all the birds and squirrels that she has discovered that populate our yard.

I'm trying to adopt a pair of kittens (three months old!), and first I need to take Lucy to see a veterinarian tomorrow to confirm she's been spayed and she doesn't have feline leukemia. I'm sure she'll be fine, but it's a step I've got to do since I lost her paperwork.

Anyway, I went to the shelter yesterday to put a deposit on my kittens. I shouldn't go to shelters, it's very dangerous for me, I want to take every kitty home. There's this one who broke my heart, he was just staring at me the whole time I was there, and he kept following me around if I moved, unblinking. He was looking at me like he's always known me, and asking "Oh hi mommy! Are you here to take me home now?" and it was so hard for me to leave him there.

Cat's know a sucker when they see one.
At least you know you're adopting a pair so that should give you a tad more self control.

Ok, I was able to sneak up one without them hiding. Not perfect but more cute then hiding.

She did open her eyes to let me know she was annoyed about being disturbed.
