CFC Memes

In NES, for example, they have an entirely different set,

Do you stalk us or something?

Stalker or not however, you're correct. Don't limit your mind to only the OT people!

I use rasist in my real life speech, and in my non-OT writing....but sadly only I really think its funny (or OTers who read my stuff)

There's always Poland threads. And conversely there's anti-HRE threads. And anti-Catherine threads.

And also there's Lucy Duke and her dogs.

Poland is a meme that goes waaay back to 2004, I don't think it's really a CFC meme.

Also, I'm a meme? I thought the only one who put downtown as a joke option was.....me?
I could have sworn at least a few other people did.

Russian 'democracy'...i admit to using that one multiple times - and i've seen others use it as well.

Aaargh, don't say 'meme'. It's a really stupid word.
No, it's just a word...

meme (mēm)
noun.
A unit of cultural information, such as a cultural practice or idea, that is transmitted verbally or by repeated action from one mind to another.
The word pre-dates it's use to refer to internet fads by about thirty years- it was originally coined by Richard Dawkins as a culturally equivalent to the term "gene", derived from the Greek mimēma, "something imitated".

That doesn't matter, though.

The word 'awesome' used to be a fine word, used only to describe the truly awe-inspiring, and then the youth, and later the Internet, got hold of it, and now it's a stupid word. 'Meme', from your definition which is news to me, seems like it was a pretty stupid word when Dawkins coined it, and now it's even stupider, Greek derivations or no.

Basically it is XKCD ruining language for me.

fun fact: I spent about a minute looking for a word to describe 'awesome' that wasn't 'awesome' itself. Now 'fine' is fine, but it just isn't awesome.
