CFC Minecraft Server -- World 5

Well, I'm back, fellas and--whoa, my house is ripped up by endermen, I can't access my chests, my apartment building has been vandalised with water and sandfort has been plundered! I flee to Lakecosmo and discover that mobs can spawn in town areas now. This server has let itself go, alright...that or I haven't seen the whole picture.

Looks like I've missed a lot.

Skwink took over sandfort,

Well, it looks more like Sandfort was abandoned because I didn't see any Lakecosmo boundary within Sandfort. The station to sandfort is still there. It felt like Armageddon with the clash of my last memories of sandfort and its current state. :) But, ok.

and we've been spending a lot of time on the pvp server.

Ah, could you give me the ip of that pvp server, please, Croxis? I also heard from skwink that you might be changing to a new world soon.

croxis.net:25569 *I think* You can take the gate in the interserver portal room in spawntown and it will tell you on the kick screen. Using the portal will also transfer your inventory.

You will also be happy to know I've been setting up a replacement for mcmmo.

Thanks, croxis.

Somehow as I was crossing from croxis.net to the pvp server, I lost connection to both servers. It says connection refused. :(

EDIT: does anyone know how to login to minecraft without having to redownload it every time I fail to login?

Croxis, will you, by any chance, be updating the server to 1.9, or plan to? I've kinda... replaced my 1.8 minecraft.jar with the 1.9 one, and now the usual methods of redownloading 1.8 aren't working.

Proposal for world 6:

I've heard a couple people mention they like the idea of everyone* working on one city that is divided into districts, and then people (or groups of people) join a district and work on it. I kind of like this thought for a couple of reasons: !) we don't really do pvp even on a pvp server, and 2) we tend to build close to each other (ex world 4). My idea is a circular city divided into 4, 6, or 8 districts:

Example of 9 district city

The central location would be me and the spawn point, but the rest would extend out to a set limit whatever the terrain may be. These would then have a theme (industrial, residential, skyscrapet, etc) as general theme for the whole district. People can then join a district to build and live in.

*Obviously not everyone has to do this as many people enjoy having their own towns, or even just striking off to their own island/continent/world. This is totally awesome in my opinion, this is just something a bit more structured and collaborative for those who want it.

Inspiration! And this!

My only concern is that their may not be enough snow biome to build in.

@Croxis: Nice idea! Wait until 1.9 comes out, so we can include the villagers into our city districts. :D

@Seafroggys: Good luck with that. Hopefully the explosion option is turned off, otherwise the ghasts will rip your nether city apart.

Example of 9 district city
Spoiler :

Reminds me of the Imperial City in TES4 (huge spawn tower!). It'll need a sewer system, too, and maybe an Oblivion Gate Nether Portal.

I've found a big flaw with Factions. When a faction has a lot of power, they can't have their land stolen. This makes it impossible to retaliate against one faction that recruits everyone and then goes are being jerks and taking out all the smaller factions that are happy just doing their thing. This is unfairly biased.

EDIT: Maxa, Dr, and Herb crashed the server with lag because they refused to stop dying.

skwink if you did want pvp/war you shouldnt have joined the server also when those people arent on they cant regenerate there power
also croxis i think the server crashed right in the middle of our war
