Besides noticing the formatting, I also noticed several unusual names. I didn't realize we have had that much turnover. I would have liked to have talked with some of these guys.

It's been more than ten years. How many sites do you stick with for a significant fraction of that time?

It was also in Civ3 General discussions forum, not OT. So the other thread found by ZeletDude is more relevant to 'CFC OT History'.

To be fair, this forum has a higher left wing population than right, it's just not overwhelming like a lot of forums. It creates some interesting discussions.

That's because this forum is fairly international.
There are some Europeans here who call themselves liberals which makes them slightly deluded supply side right-wingers in my book, but if the thread is about American or international politics they usually have opinions similar to mine that are considered left of center in the US' political spectrum.

Well, given this is the only webforum I post on regularly and I've lurked here since probably 2003, I'm the wrong person to ask that question.

I know whenever an older thread gets bumped for some reason people are always "Such-and-such a poster returned?!!!!!!"
"No, look at the date."
"Grrrrr."

There's one poster who stopped at 9,999 posts. He stopped posting because he was busy as a student at the University of Badass.

Either he came back and posted some more or he stopped at 9998, because I'm not seeing any 9999 posters when I sort the members list by number of posts.

I'd considered doing that but then I figured why be an overly dramatic attention whore, no one will notice anyway. I guess I was wrong. I suppose in a geeky forum of bored, probably mathematically/statistically minded guys at least a few people will notice. Maybe I'll stop at 31,113 (that'll probably take five more years at current posting rates).
