thank you! i will review this and include it in the next feature release.Hi! This RU loc file for Map Trix:
hazards & obstacles, more stats, Russian translation
- highlighting for roads, obstacles, and hazardous effects
- more city center stats: religion and fresh water
- many small improvements to layout
- Russian translation by Webrok (thanks!)
thanks for the report! i see why this happened. the DLC handles localization internals a bit differently, and i need to account for it in my tooltip. i'll make a hotfix, should be available soon. While playing civ Carthage, I noticed that the unique quarter description appears along with the capture.
All other modes are turned off.
It seems to only occur in the unique quarter of the updated civilization.

fixes a problem where Unique Quarters from the new DLC appeared in tooltips with broken locale tags instead of localized text.
hi, thanks!Hi, I absolutely love your mod! The way the info is presented, the colours and the rings for buildings!
I would like to request a feature (IDK if thats allowed, sorry if it isnt!)- can potential improvements be added when you hover on an empty tile? Example - Hovering over a rough terrain tile would show Mine. Vegetated tiles would show Woodcutter.
improvement guides
undeveloped tiles show which basic improvement type the land supports,
and resources show which improvements unlock them. unique improvements
show which basic improvement they replaced (for warehouse bonuses).
verbose mode
you can hold down Ctrl or Shift to show additional information on some
tiles, like city-states, unique quarters, resources you've already
connected, and undeveloped land outside your civilization.
good news! i found a way to implement the feature you requested. you can find the new improvement guides on resources and undeveloped tiles in your empire. elsewhere, they are hidden by default, but you can reveal more by holding down Ctrl or Shift.Hi, I absolutely love your mod! thanks for the feedback! i tried that out during development & found that the wonder layout didn't work unless there was some text between the name divider and the icon. i might move the natural wonder descriptions to Verbose text, though.Verbose mode is a really good idea. Sometimes it takes a while to navigate because there is too much information.
I hope the next version will include wonder and natural wonder in verbose mode.
Thanks for making a great mod.
The Korean translation is all good. I'm checking it every updatebtw the last couple of updates have added new text to the mod, which means new translations. i did my best (and had some help) but please let me know if my translations seem off, especially the Korean and Russian text for improvements and fresh water.
configuration options, German localization
adds configuration options:
- verbose map tooltips
- fix relationship tooltip width
- restyle yield banner
OMG , VERY EXCITED !!hi, thanks!
that was one of the first features i had planned for the mod, and i've gotten a couple of requests for it too. however, the implementation is surprisingly complex for something that's very easy for humans to figure out. every resource has a specific improvement that it always uses, and the rest of the map follows a few simple rules. vegetated tiles always get Woodcutters, wet tiles always get Clay Pits, and otherwise you get a farm (flat), a mine (rough), or fishing boats (coast).
because you don't get to choose any of this, i consider the feature a novelty & not important strategic info. i only add features like that if they're unique to Map Trix and fun to implement, like the glowing yield rings or the themed icons that i put on independent villages. those are the little things that make my mod distinct. potential improvements are like that too, and Sukritact already did it. it's his cool thing, not mine.
i might change my mind if i find a situation where i need the info, or i figure out a fun way to implement it.
[update: i figured how to implement this in a way that suits my own creative vision! i also used the new feature to show which warehouse bonuses your unique improvements get. now they get a note like (was: woodcutter) after the improvement name.]
oh yay, i'm glad. i appreciate your feedback!OMG , VERY EXCITED !!
