Songhai seems to win this at the moment but is perhaps rank 6 on the other vote.
Guess it has something to do with the method used here.

I too am surprised that China didn't make the top 5. This is after the patch which gave them a much better Liberty tree, arguably their strongest starting tree.

This thread is not supposed to tell you the strongest civ. Some people (like me) voted for civs which are fun & voted against the civs whose AIs are very annoying.
