'Civilization V: Gods & Kings' expansion announced!

The re-introduction of Religion & Espionage are definitely a big plus for me-though I'll be curious to see how they'll have to rework some of the Social Policies in order to incorporate these new features!

I still hope the CIV5 go beyond Civ4. This is to have new things.

I think you accidentally some words.

Yes, this expansion will have new things, certainly, but it's ridiculous how they continue to try to sell it as a full game, considering so much of Civ5 is just broken, the fact that they continue to sell half-baked civs, maps and now a DLC just goes to show they are completely detached from reality and have no idea whatsoever of how unplayable Civ5 actually is.

Features like espionage or religion, pfft, don't joke with me, it was their obligation for those to be implemented in the original game, what's next, a First Person Shooter where you'll need at least one DLC to be able to have ammunition? Besides, considering how much of Civ5 is just not working properly (I wonder if anyone has ever finished a game of multiplayer!!) and that just not being their focus, the only thing Civ5 will go beyond Civ4 is in the level of how much the developers just don't care!

Well, it was more or less what I want meant, I'm just a little more moderate. With this expansion believe that developers leave the CIV5 more or less at least the same level of Civ4. What everyone is hoping that a newer version goes truly beyond (pun?) the previous version.

I see that version of CIV has much less mods, even by the difficulty (one of the promises of CIV5 was that it would be more mouldable than the Civ4.)

i wont be buying anything Civ related again until they release Earth maps and continental maps with CORRECT STARTING LOCATIONS as STANDARD and without disavowing responsibilities to hit and miss mod builders. I have been SO disappointed with civ5.

Have you tried the TSL mod? I have done so myself, but do not use it anymore, because the game got stuck a lot. Sometimes every three turns. I wasn't sure if that was caused from bugs or my pc for some reason. Not sure, but it was fun when it worked.

I do see your point though. TSL should be applied so we don't have to use mods. Its the same with ending eras. We should be able to choose unmodded if we want to end the game at a certain era. I have always said that restrictive games are the worst of all. Thats one reason I have generally moved away from console gaming, except for certain favorites. To restrict a PC game, to me, is a waste of material.

How do we make suggestion for the upcoming expansion set? Just e-mail Firaxis Games or 2K games? Haven't been able to fined the suggestion box on their web site.

How many of us think that the Inuit may be one of the unknown civilizations in this upcoming expansion pack?

You should try posting in our Ideas & Suggestions forum. :) As the biggest fansite, that's presumably one of the first places they'd look. Emailing them probably won't do much good.

What will the price range for the expansion be?

You're assuming they'd even go through the trouble of trying to know what the market wants.
Most companies want to know, but keep in mind that you might not be who they perceive their market to be or who they want to reach.
